Dr. Rajan Singh Sood is a homeopathic doctor who also serves as the Principal of the Rajasthan Vidyapeeth Homeopathic Medical College in Dabok, Udaipur.
Reflecting on his childhood, Rajan recalls that he was born in Ajmer, Rajasthan. He pursued his early education in various small towns across Rajasthan, including Begun and Nimbaheda. Later, he completed his B.Sc. in Chittorgarh. Subsequently, he pursued his graduation in Homeopathy and went on to complete his Postgraduate MD in Belgaum, Karnataka. Furthering his education, he earned an MPhil in Hospital and Health Management from BITS, Pilani.
Dr. Rajan mentions that, like many others, he also faced challenges during his initial years. However, he embarked on his teaching journey at Rajasthan Vidyapeeth Homeopathic Medical College in Dabok, Udaipur with determination.
He proudly mentions his achievements, which include authoring four textbooks and one monograph. He has received numerous awards throughout his career and holds four patents. One of his notable books is titled "Textbook of Repertory with Preparatory Manual." Additionally, he has written monographs on various topics such as hemorrhoids, lifestyle diseases, and asthma, among others.
Rajan developed an interest in homeopathy due to a significant incident in his life. During his childhood, he faced a neurological disorder that allopathic medicine could not cure. However, after turning to homeopathy, he experienced a complete recovery. This transformative experience inspired him to pursue a career in homeopathy.
Dr. Rajan considers his father as his role model. His father instilled in him the value of doing any task with perfection, emphasizing that financial success would naturally follow such dedication.
He finds inspiration in a song which goes like, "Jo sochen, Jo chahen vo karke dikhaden, Ham vo hain jo do aur do paanch bana den".
He advises aspiring doctors to concentrate on their studies during the five and a half years of MBBS without getting preoccupied with earnings.
Lastly, Dr. Rajan’s message to the youth is to delve deep into whatever field they are working in, and success will naturally follow.
