Dr. Rahul Khatri is a Neonatologist and Paediatrician at Pacific Institute of Medical Sciences. He has been practising in Udaipur since 2009 and also runs his own clinic.
Talking about his journey as a doctor, Rahul says he caters to new-born babies, new mothers, and the nutrition intake required for their good health. He entered this profession on the advice of his uncle, who suggested that he appear for PMT. Rahul couldn’t clear the exam in his first attempt but cleared it with flying colours in his second attempt.
Rahul pursued his MBBS and PG from Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal.. After completing his education, Rahul worked in well-known hospitals in Indore for two years. He then shifted to Udaipur in 2009 and worked at Bhandari Children’s Hospital for five years. In 2016, Rahul joined the Pacific Institute of Medical Sciences.
Rahul advises aspiring doctors to interact with their seniors and take tips to study and prepare well for medical exams. He adds that students ought to make a target and complete it by the end of the day. Rahul emphasises doing a proper revision and utilising time in the best possible way.
As a child specialist, Rahul advises parents to give their children enough time and share their experiences with them. He adds that parents should not rebuke their children but make them understand the consequences of their actions. Rahul urges parents to instil the habit of book reading in their children and ensure limited use of gadgets.
Rahul advises the young blood not to rashly drive and to follow the traffic rules.
If Rahul could travel back in time via a time machine, he would revisit his childhood, which was a phase of fun and no stress.
