Puneet chose dentistry to bring a smile to people’s faces and transform their personalities and facial appearance. He runs his own dental clinic in the city of Meerut.

Dr. Puneet Kansal is a dentist at Kansal Dental Clinic and Orthodontic Centre in Meerut. He has been running his dental clinic for 22 years now.

Puneet did his BDS from Bapuji Dental College, followed by his MDS from State Medical University, Kazakhstan. He belongs to Meerut and completed his schooling in the city. Puneet had been a hard-working child since his early days and always wanted to become a doctor.

Speaking about his challenges, Puneet shares that when he revealed to his family that he wanted to go for BDS, he was not taken in a good spirit. His father was a well-known physician who always wanted him to pursue MBBS and open up his own hospital. Puneet was told by his friends and relatives that only people who aren’t able to get into other medical fields choose dentistry as their profession.

Nevertheless, Puneet decided to become a dentist to make a personality change in the lives of people who had brittle teeth and help them gain confidence in their appearance. Since there were not many dental colleges in his state, Puneet had to venture down south for his dental studies, where he experienced cultural differences in the form of a language barrier.

Speaking about COVID, Puneet shares that he continued to treat his patients with full dedication while following all the safety protocols. He also had a support staff with him to be taken care of.

When asked about his role models, Puneet says he draws his inspiration from his grandfather, who was a lawyer. He admired him for his dedication to work, even till the last breath of his life.

Puneet advises aspiring dentists to study all their subjects well and work hard with full commitment and dedication.
