A gold medalist legal academician with 14 years of experience, Dr. Priyamvada Tiwari leads the Faculty of Law at Medi-Caps University with a vision to nurture ethical, dedicated, and socially responsible legal professionals.

Dr. Priyamvada Tiwari is the Head of the Faculty of Law at Medicaps University, Indore. She has been associated with the university since the inception of the Faculty of Law in 2024.

With around one and a half years of leadership at Medicaps University, Dr. Priyamvada Tiwari is actively shaping the academic vision and structural foundation of the department. Her focus is on developing competent, ethical, and socially responsible legal professionals.

She believes that the legal profession is witnessing remarkable growth. Law, which was once not widely considered a mainstream career option, has now evolved into a dynamic and respected professional discipline.

With this perspective, Dr. Tiwari aims to prepare students who can contribute meaningfully to society through knowledge, integrity, and professional excellence.

Born and brought up in Bhopal, she was deeply influenced by her family’s legal background. Her grandfather was a lawyer, and her father served as a Professor at National Law Institute University.

Inspired by her father’s dedication and achievements, Dr. Priyamvada Tiwari chose law as her career path. The continuous evolution of laws and judicial decisions further motivated her to pursue excellence in the field.

She completed her graduation from the University Teaching Department, Faculty of Law, under Barkatullah University. She secured an All India 12th Rank in the CLAT examination.

Dr. Tiwari went on to pursue her L.L.M. from National Law Institute University, where she was awarded the gold medal. She later completed her Ph.D. in Law and built an academic career spanning over 14 years across reputed institutions.

She has been a Gold Medalist in both graduation and post-graduation. Throughout her career, she has actively participated in Moot Court competitions, seminars, workshops, and conferences.

Dr. Priyamvada Tiwari has organized numerous academic programs aligned with the law curriculum to enhance students’ professional competencies. She holds memberships in reputed bodies such as the Indian Society of Criminology and the Indian Society of Criminology and Victimology.

Her research contributions include publications in Scopus, ABDC, and UGC Care-indexed journals. She is also associated with several institutions as an Advisory Board Member.

Dr. Priyamvada Tiwari credits her parents as the foundation of her success. While her father guided her professionally, her mother provided unwavering emotional support.

Balancing professional responsibilities with personal commitments posed challenges, but consistent family encouragement helped her navigate those phases successfully. She dedicates her accomplishments to her parents’ support.

Addressing the youth, HoD Law Dr. Priyamvada Tiwari advises against shortcuts in any profession. She emphasizes dedication, discipline, and sincere effort as the true pathways to success.

She encourages students to pursue Law as a passion rather than merely a profession. Reflecting the philosophy of “Shiksha Bhi, Sanskar Bhi,” she stresses that moral values are as important as academic achievement.
