Dean at Medicaps University with 28 years of academic experience, finance expert Dr. Priti Pandey leads NEP 2020 curriculum alignment, corporate training, and academic leadership, inspiring the youth through ethics, learning, and national pride.

Professor (Dr.) Priti Pandey is Dean of the Faculty of Management Studies at Medicaps University. She brings nearly 28 years of academic experience, encompassing teaching, mentoring, research, corporate training, and academic leadership. Her core area of interest is Finance, and she has been actively involved in corporate training in areas such as Real Estate and Urban Infrastructure.

Dr. Pandey has held several academic leadership positions at various institutions in India as well as abroad, contributing significantly to curriculum development and institutional growth.

Dr. Priti Pandey has authored several research papers which have been published in reputed journals, including ABDC-indexed journals. She has also been deeply involved in corporate training, conducting Management Development Programs for professionals ranging from industry-level managers to senior leadership. Her training areas include Corporate Strategy, Real Estate, Urban Infrastructure, and Real Estate Finance and Investment.

In 2021, she was featured in the Global Finance Magazine (USA), where she spoke about the real estate market in Turkey. She also served on the expert panel of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India, contributing to curriculum and assessment design for registered valuers.

Currently, her major focus is on aligning the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 with the existing education system. She has undertaken extensive work in curriculum redesign, ensuring alignment of NEP 2020 with various university programs, particularly integrating NEP requirements into MBA and BBA programs. Additionally, she has served on the expert panel of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI), where she was responsible for curriculum design and assessment frameworks for Registered Valuers programs.

Dean Prof. Priti Pandey shares that the Faculty of Management at Medicaps University offers programs such as MBA and BBA. The MBA program includes specializations in Finance, Marketing, and Human Resources. The university also offers a premium MBA program in Business Analytics, a curated course designed for students interested in analytics-driven management education.

Similarly, at the undergraduate level, the university offers a BBA program in Business Administration and a BBA in Business Analytics, which is a premium program specially curated for students interested in Data Analytics and Data Science, integrated with management studies.

Along with managing the Faculty of Management Studies, Dr. Pandey also oversees the Department of Commerce, which offers programs such as B.Com (Hons) , a four-year NEP-compliant program. The department also offers B.Com (Hons) with CFA integration and B.Com (Hons) with Global Finance.

Dr. Priti Pandey completed most of her schooling in Kolkata. She pursued her bachelor’s degree from Delhi University, completed her postgraduate studies at the Delhi School of Economics, and later earned her PhD in Management. Coming from West Bengal, she fondly recalls her culturally rich childhood, especially her deep connection with the arts.

One of her most cherished memories from her childhood is her participation in a Rabindranath Tagore play, Chitra, where she played the prominent role of Chitrangada. Although she was not very fluent in the language at the time, she successfully enacted the role, a memory she still treasures deeply. Her participation in Holi road shows, as well as her inclination toward Rabindra Sangeet and Dance, are unforgettable parts of her childhood.

When asked about her role models, Dr. Pandey shares that her inspiration stems from Mr. Ratan Tata. She admires him as a great industrialist and philanthropist who contributed immensely to both industry and society. His principles, emphasis on ethical business practices, and strong sense of corporate responsibility have always fascinated her. She believes he was a true industrialist, not merely a businessman, as he led the Tata Group with innovation and integrity. His biography continues to inspire even the current generation.

Speaking about her favorite quote, she recalls a line by Khalil Gibran:

“Don’t be dismayed by goodbyes. To meet and to part is a way of life; to part and to meet is the hope of life.”

She believes this quote emphasizes the importance of always remaining hopeful in life.

Reflecting on her early career, Dr. Pandey shares that she faced several challenges, common for many academics—including managing large classes and effectively delivering lectures. Over time, she polished her skills and grew more confident. During her PhD studies, she encountered struggles such as meeting deadlines and fulfilling her guide’s expectations. These challenges pushed her to work harder and ultimately helped her achieve her doctoral degree. She believes that challenges are constant throughout life and that each phase brings lessons, making her career a blend of achievements and struggles.

For early-career faculty members, Dean- Faculty of Management Dr. Priti Pandey advises maintaining a positive attitude and a continuous desire to learn. She emphasizes that while individuals are hired for their intellect, they are respected for their character and heart. Talent enhances output, but being grounded, kind, and ethical earns trust from colleagues and students alike. She encourages adaptability, innovation, and lifelong learning.

Her message to the youth of India is to always prioritize India First and Indians First. She urges young people to view the country not just as a resource but as a responsibility, to contribute to national growth through knowledge, skills, ethics, professionalism, and kindness.

She also emphasizes taking pride in the nation, as India stands among the most dynamic countries globally, with one of the highest GDP growth rates. With a rich legacy of culture, ethics, medicine, and science, she believes it is the responsibility of today’s youth to carry this heritage forward and remain proud of the legacy passed down by our forefathers.
