Dr. Preeti Malhotra is associated with the Pacific Institute of Medical Sciences as a Senior Gynecologist.
Preeti says that since her childhood, she has dreamed of becoming a doctor. Later, she qualified for her medical entrance and completed an MBBS from Pt. JNM Medical College, Raipur, where she also participated in different college events. She aced her postgraduate exam with immense hard work.
Preeti shares that during her internship, she got married in Udaipur and continued her education in Hyderabad for three years. With the unwavering support of her family, she successfully cleared the DNB exam and embarked on her professional journey in Udaipur. Along the way, she gained valuable experience working at Geetanjali Medical College and the American International Institute of Medical Sciences before joining PIMS. Throughout her career, she found fulfillment in her work and faced no major obstacles.
Inspired by the teachings of Swami Vivekananda, Preeti chose the path of medicine out of her deep love for her country. One of her favorite quotes is "Arise, awake, and stop not till we reach our goals."
Talking about leadership skills, Preeti says that a woman has to manage both the family and her profession, and for doing so, leadership skills are required.
Preeti firmly believes that aspiring doctors should possess dedication and passion in their pursuit.
Sharing about how the COVID-19 pandemic affected people, Preeti says that people became negative after the COVID hit. She adds that we must remain positive and believe that God is always there to protect us.
For Preeti, life experiences hold immense value. She strongly emphasizes the healing power of kind words and the significance of approaching patients with empathy and calmness.
Actively engaged as a member of FOGSI, the Federation of Obstetric and Gynecological Societies of India, Preeti contributes to research, publications, and the scientific community. Additionally, she actively participates in the Rajasthan Sahitya Pariwar, channeling her efforts towards charitable initiatives benefiting orphanages and old age homes.
Beyond her professional commitments, Preeti finds immense joy in activities like singing and playing with her children. She also takes pleasure in cooking and embarking on long drives with her husband.
Through a special song dedicated to her family and the youth, Preeti spreads the message of sharing smiles, extending a helping hand, and nurturing love in their hearts.
‘Living for others’ serves as her life mantra, guiding her actions and outlook on life.
