Dr. Preeti is a highly qualified educationist who has been preparing future teachers through her experience and knowledge.

Dr. Preeti Gahlot is a Lecturer at Vidya Bhawan B.Ed. College.

Preeti was born and brought up in Udaipur, and later also got married in Udaipur itself. She has done BA, B.Ed, M.Ed., Ph.D. and has also cleared the NET exam to pursue NET JRF, all in line with her passion for education.

Preeti completed her Ph.D. in 2015 and had started teaching during her Ph.D. itself. She worked for about a year in a B.Ed. college in Haryana and then returned to Udaipur and has been working here for more than six months.

Talking about the COVID pandemic’s impact on education, Preeti says that most of the students struggled with their studies due to online teaching. She further says that she also had issues with acclimatising herself with new ways of teaching. However, she learned to conduct online classes smoothly over time.

Preeti has had her fair share of struggles in life. Sharing one of them, she says that she got married early on, and all of a sudden she found herself handling family responsibilities instead of studying, something that she wanted to do. However, she says, her husband and in-laws were very supportive of her higher studies and thus she has completed most of her education after getting married.

During her free time, Preeti likes to keep herself fit through yoga and meditation. She also likes spending time with her family and keeping herself up-to-date with the new developments in her field.

Giving a piece of advice to budding teachers, Preeti says that you should pursue your B.Ed. degree earnestly and focus on learning the teaching techniques taught in the course.
