Paras Singhvi is working as the Deputy Mayor in the Municipal Corporation of Udaipur.
Paras says that he had been associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh since childhood. When in college, he was elected President of the Student Council of his college, and then he joined the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha and gradually started working in the political field. He is also President of the Udaipur Chamber of Commerce.
Paras belongs to Udaipur. He did his B.Com from Shramjeevi College.
Talking about his role models, Paras says he considers Gulab Chand Katariya as his source of inspiration in the political field. Besides, he considers his father as his role model for being an idealistic and honest man and helping people in times of crisis.
Describing his tough times, Paras says that his father’s death was the most painful, devastating, and the most challenging time for him. He was completely broken by that incident, but with the support of his friends and with great courage, he stood up again and took over his responsibilities.
Sharing his COVID experience, Paras says that time was tough for everyone and no one had ever seen such a pandemic before that. He says that being the Deputy Mayor, he fulfilled his full responsibility to serve the people. Apart from this, he also distributed food packets among the helpless people with the help of social institutions.
If anyone wants to make a career in politics, Paras advises them that they should come into this field and do good work by finding their way in the swamp of dirty politics. Further, he says that every person does not come to this field to promote corruption. If your aim is to serve the people and if you have a progressive ideology then surely you can change the system by being a part of it, he believes.
