Nisha was born and brought up in Udaipur. Among four sisters she is the youngest, and thus was also naughtiest of them all. When she decided to become a doctor after getting inspired by her nurse mother, it was very difficult for her financially weak family to support her. But eventually her parents supported her and she successfully completed her MBBS.
Nisha is also a mother of two kids, and being a doctor it is a bit challenging for her as her younger child is very small. Her younger child was born just before the lockdown and just in three months after her delivery, she was back on duty to fulfill her professional responsibilities. She says that it was a challenging time, as she had to wear the PPE kit and double masks and everything to protect herself then also be very cautious because she had to go home everyday and take care of her children and her family. She was afraid and thus took all necessary precautions to safeguard herself and her family from the virus.
Nisha says that experience is more important to her than education. She says that there are some values that books cannot teach you, you have to learn them through experience only.
Nisha’s mother is her role model. Her mother is the reason she chose the medical field and her mother’s professionalism is also very inspiring.
For aspiring doctors, Nisha suggests that firstly you should love whatever field you are pursuing. Respecting patients and studying hard is also very important. She also suggests being positive and interacting with patients to make them feel at ease and comfortable sharing their problems.
For Nisha, her family is everything. She has fun and finds peace with her family only. Going to various tourist places with her family is her favorite pastime. She takes out time for her family and enjoys it with them.
Nisha’s life mantra is to be happy and to spread happiness. She says you must give your hundred percent always, that will make you happy.
