Dr. Neeru Shrimali is a Sports Incharge at Vidya Bhawan Rural Institute. She has been associated with the institute for six years now.
After completing her studies, Neeru faced a dilemma: whether to go for a B.Ed or a B.PEd. She chose a Bachelor in Physical Education as her choice, having identified the lack of training students had when it came to sports. Thereafter, Neeru did her M.PEd, following which she completed her PhD in 2005.
Before joining Vidya Bhawan, Neeru gave her services at Rajasthan Mahila Vidyalaya from 1999 to 2009. Thereafter, she taught at Mohanlal Sukhadia University as a guest faculty. Neeru gave her services to MLSU from 2009 to 2016. It was in September 2016 that Neeru joined Vidya Bhawan. She has also been working as a guide at MLSU for three years now.
Neeru is also the author of five educational books and has two research papers under her belt.
Recalling her childhood, Neeru says that she spent her early days in Gogunda village in Rajasthan. She continues to cherish her childhood memories even today.
When asked about her role models, Neeru says she draws inspiration from Dr. Rajesh Shrimali and admires him for his fearless and audacious demeanor.
Sharing her pandemic experience, Neeru says that her entire family contracted the virus, especially her husband, who had to venture out during lockdown considering the nature of his work. She goes on to say that the environment became quite negative during those days. However, with support from her own people, she and her family came out of that phase.
Neeru advises young people to first specialize in their chosen field before embarking on a career.
When free, Neeru likes to spend time playing with her children.
