Dr. Priyadarshi Nagda is an assistant professor in the law department of Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur. He has been working at this institute for the last seven years.
Dr. Priyadarshi always wanted to become a bureaucrat. Therefore, he appeared in the civil service exams quite a few times. Though he managed to get through the written exam twice and appeared for the interview, he was not able to clear it. He missed the final merit list by a few marks. During his preparation time, he read so many books, articles, etc. that he developed a keen interest in research and teaching. At that time, Dr. Priyadarshi started taking guest lectures at various law colleges; gradually, his passion for teaching developed, and he made it his career.
As a law teacher, his main focus is to build the stepping stones for budding lawyers and to inculcate knowledge and rational ideologies in them. As teaching is a constant process, Dr. Priyadarshi feels that he is extremely blessed that he can connect with the netizen generation and can also learn many things from them.
When asked about his role models, Dr. Priyadarshi looks up to his father, an IAS officer. His mother was always a constant support and his biggest motivator.
Dr. Priyadarshi truly believes in the quote by Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, "If you fail, never give up, because F.A.I.L. means First Attempt in Learning."
Talking about his mistakes, Dr. Priyadarshi shares that since he desired to become a civil servant, he constantly neglected his job in the insurance sector. Today, he feels that had he performed his job with perfection, he would surely have succeeded in that career as well.
Dr. Priyadarshi thinks that the future of the education sector in India is quite bright, and it can be one of the leading industries in the upcoming years.
When discussing his achievements, Dr. Priyadarshi believes that one significant accomplishment was selecting and successfully completing his Ph.D. on the Prison System and its Reforms, which involved interacting with inmates and understanding their issues. He also proposed various reforms to improve the lives of inmates, making them more meaningful and comfortable.
Dr. Priyadarshi asks the young generation to do their work with full commitment, without thinking about the final outcome, as he believes that 100% dedication and commitment towards work definitely guide you towards success.
