A dentist and medical officer, Dr. Meenal Chaplot specializes in Periodontics and Implantology. From serving as a Captain in the Indian Army to securing top ranks in medical exams, her career reflects dedication and a passion for public health.

Dr. Meenal Chaplot is currently serving as a Medical Officer at Satellite Hospital, Udaipur. A Dentist by profession, she holds a Postgraduate Degree in Periodontics and Implantology.

As an Implantologist, Dr. Meenal specializes in gum surgeries and dental implants. If you have a missing tooth, she performs implant procedures to ensure effective and long-lasting tooth replacement solutions.

Periodontist Dr. Meenal firmly believes that a healthy mind resides in a healthy body—and that a healthy body begins with a healthy mouth. She emphasizes that Oral Health plays a crucial role in overall well-being. Since everything we consume passes through the mouth, any infection or bacterial buildup in the oral cavity can negatively impact not just our physical health, but also our mental well-being. Poor oral hygiene has been linked to several systemic conditions such as cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and more. Dentists, therefore, play a vital role in maintaining not just your smile, but your overall health by preventing and treating oral diseases.

Speaking about her career in Dentistry, Implantologist Dr. Meenal Chaplot shares that she began her career in 2015. After completing her graduation, she joined the Indian Army and proudly served the nation on the rank of Captain. After completing her tenure in the armed forces, she pursued post graduation in Periodontics and Implantology. Her dedication to public service continued as she cleared the RPSC exam and began serving the state of Rajasthan as a Medical Officer.

For Dr. Chaplot, being a Medical Officer goes far beyond clinical duties. It involves handling a wide spectrum of responsibilities—from patient care to administrative tasks and everyday challenges. She believes that the role demands strong leadership and the ability to manage and guide a team effectively.

Medical Officer Dr. Chaplot considers her parents her greatest role models, drawing strength from their unwavering dedication and hard work. They have always encouraged her to keep moving forward and to push her boundaries. However, she believes that true inspiration comes from within. According to her, self-appreciation—acknowledging your own challenges and celebrating even the smallest achievements—is the most powerful source of motivation. It’s this inner drive that keeps her going every day.

Reflecting on her early years, Dr. Meenal Chaplot shares that she was born and raised in Rajsamand, where she completed her schooling at Lakshmipat Singhania School. With a strong inclination toward Biology, she naturally gravitated toward the field of Dentistry—driven by a keen interest in the oral cavity. From a young age, she was also passionate about artistry and carving, which further drew her to a profession that beautifully blends science with precision and creativity. Today, dentistry is not just her profession but also her passion, allowing her to live her childhood interests every day.

After graduating from a private dental college, Dr. Meenal Chaplot always had a desire to do something different and impactful. With that thought in mind, she appeared for the Army Dental Corps interview and secured an impressive All India Rank of 20. She served in the Indian Army at the rank of Captain in 2021. Following a brief but enriching tenure, she decided to pursue higher studies and cleared the NEET MDS exam, going on to complete her post graduation in Periodontics and Oral Implantology.

Her path of service continued as she appeared for the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) exam, where she secured the 45th rank. Today, she is proudly serving as a Medical Officer in Udaipur, contributing to public health with dedication and compassion.

Dr. Meenal Chaplot reflects that one of the most valuable lessons she has learned is that while everyone seeks happiness and avoids pain, true growth often comes through challenges. As she puts it,

“You can’t get a rainbow without a little rain.”

She firmly believes that if you truly want to achieve something meaningful in life, you have to push yourself beyond your comfort zone and stay committed, even when the journey gets tough.

Dr. Meenal Chaplot believes that dentistry—and the medical profession as a whole—is a noble calling. She emphasizes that as healthcare professionals, it's important to think not just about ourselves but equally about our patients.

“If you treat one patient with care and integrity, that one person can refer to 250 more,” she says.

Success in this field, she adds, doesn't come just from skills or degrees, but from genuinely caring for and prioritizing your patients' well-being.

She also offers a strong reminder about oral health:

“If you neglect your oral cavity—if it's full of infections and you're losing your teeth—how will you maintain a healthy body?” she asks.

Gums Specialist Dr. Meenal stresses that your body can only stay healthy when your mouth is healthy. Oral health is closely linked to many systemic diseases such as cardiovascular disorders, diabetes, and even oral cancer. Her message is clear: take good care of your oral hygiene—because a healthy mouth is the foundation of a healthy life.
