Dr. Manisha Bai is a PG Scholar in ‘Kaya Chikitsa Vibhag’ of Madan Mohan Malviya Government Ayurvedic College & Hospital, Udaipur.
Born in a village in Alwar, she completed her schooling up to the 10th standard in her village. Her parents, aspiring for her to receive a quality education and become a doctor, sent her to Alwar City to complete her schooling. Subsequently, she traveled to Kota to prepare for the PMT but was unable to pass the entrance exam. Concurrently, she also took the RPAT exam and gained admission to Punjab Ayurvedic College.
After graduating in 2016, she commenced practicing in the gynecology department. During this period, she got married. Due to her pregnancy, she temporarily halted her practice and decided to focus on preparing for the PG entrance exam. Successfully selected for PG, she secured admission to the Kaya Chikitsa Vibhag of Madan Mohan Malviya Government Ayurvedic College & Hospital, Jaipur.
Reflecting on her childhood, she fondly reminisces about her friends and the time spent together. Additionally, she cherishes her hostel life, considering it the best phase of her life.
Dr. Manisha Bai draws inspiration from Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, especially his motivating line, "Sapne vo nahi hote jo aap sone ke baad dekhte hain, sapne vo hote hain jo aapko sone nahi dete." Her maternal uncle, a gynecologist, also serves as a source of motivation for her.
Recalling her struggles, she acknowledges her parents' significant efforts in supporting her education. Having lived away from her parents since the 10th grade, she expresses gratitude for their sacrifices. Pursuing her PG studies required leaving her newborn daughter with her parents, a decision that was tough to take for her.
Highlighting her achievements, Dr. Manisha Bai notes that she excelled in her school life and ranked in the top ten during her graduation.
If given a chance to revisit her past in a time machine, she would focus on studying harder during entrance exams to secure a clinical branch.
She exhorts the citizens of the country to contribute to its development. Moreover, she urges them to consider entrepreneurship as a viable option rather than solely pursuing jobs.
