Dr. Jagrati Maharishi is a dentist running her own clinic in Jaipur, Rajasthan.
Jagrati was born in Jaipur and did her schooling and then BDS from Jaipur itself. She has also done a Diploma in Hospital Management and Naturopathy and Yoga. After working in a few clinics and learning about clinical work, she started her own clinic with her savings.
Sharing her experience of the COVID-19 pandemic, Jagrati says that she explored her artistic side and started sketching and reading books during the lockdowns. Her clinic was also running with all precautionary measures properly undertaken. Jagrati says that she started meditation and moved towards spirituality as well. She got time to spend with her family and also cooked various new dishes. Jagrati also says that her complete family got COVID and her parents were even hospitalized. However, they all sailed out of the tough times with determination.
Jagrati feels that the field of dentistry is getting degraded because of people’s perspectives and the government's ignorance. She says that it is a wonderful field if one puts in a lot of hard work.
Talking about her inspirations, Jagrati says that her parents are her motivators. She says that her father is still a practicing lawyer at the age of sixty-three which is an inspiring thing for Jagrati. Other personalities that she admires are Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and Kalpana Chawla.
In her free time, Jagrati likes meditating, reading books, stargazing, and spending time with her family.
