Dr. Madhavi Rathore is an Associate Professor who thinks that life sometimes has unexpected plans for us. She says that struggles are just ladders to success and should be taken constructively.

Dr. Madhavi Rathore is working as an Associate Professor of English at Bhupal Nobles College in Udaipur.

Madhavi was born in Surendranagar, Gujarat. However, her parental place is Kushalgarh in Banswara. Her childhood was spent in Laxmi Vilas Palace Hotels as his father was working as an Accounts Officer in it.

Her mother insisted on Madhavi receiving her education in the English medium and hence she was enrolled in St. Mary’s School in Udaipur. Madhavi did her graduation from Meera Girls College, Udaipur, and her M.A., M.Phil. and Ph.D. from Sukhadia University, Udaipur.

During the final leg of her M.Phil., she got married. Madhavi says that doing a job was not common in her family and a long discussion took place on it. However, she got support from her in-laws and joined the B.N. College in 1995 and has been working here ever since. Her father-in-law was also working in B.N.College and after marriage she moved to its campus itself and hence this college always felt like home to her.

Madhavi shares that she has worked at different positions in the B.N. Sansthan. She was in-charge of the Hostel, the Principal of the Girl’s college in Rajsamand, in-charge of the guest house, and also took care of extracurricular activities of the college.

Madhavi says that when the Covid pandemic started she was on a tour to Kashmir. She started upgrading herself by attending online classes and adapting to the new normal in the education industry. She started making herself acquainted with new methods of teaching students and taking tests and assignments. She kept herself busy learning the new tech. Both her children also returned from their respective colleges and everyone got to spend a good family time together.

If given a Time Machine, she would like to go back to her college days when she enjoyed being with friends and living a carefree life.

Madhavi says that we should never stop putting in our efforts even if we fail. She feels that struggle is a part of life and should be taken as a catalyst.
