A doctor, Komal has been working in this field for the last seven years. She is also a social worker and actively participates in serving society.

Dr. Komal is a cosmetologist and trichologist, and founder of Le Esthetique in Surat.

Komal shares that she belongs to a doctor family, so she had always had a dream to become a doctor. In her childhood, she used to play with empty syringes instead of toys. However, she  chose a non-emergency medical field to maintain a balance between her personal and professional lives.

Recalling her childhood, Komal says that her parents always gave her the exposure of doing things herself. Her parents also wanted her to become an all-rounder, and that is the reason she represented India internationally in Bharatanatyam dance. She was busy with her studies in her childhood as a student in the science stream. But she is happy that she is able to serve society.

Talking about her journey, Komal says that in cosmetology, patients have high expectations from the doctors. So, she faced many difficulties in building a strong base of patients. She believes that it is important for a doctor to be honest with their patients. After starting her second branch, trichology, she faced many other challenges as she couldn't be present everywhere. As a result, she recognised the importance of allocating work. She overcame this challenge by training other doctors to treat patients in the same manner that she does to ensure the patients' comfort. Now she is able to run four branches successfully by overcoming the challenges.

Sharing her experiences, Komal says that her experience in this field was amazing, as her desire is to see a smile on the faces of her patients and to satisfy them. This is the main reason for her motivation, and she works to provide solutions to the problems of her patients.

Accepting her mistakes, Komal says that she is a very emotional person, and as a doctor, she started involving and getting emotionally attached to the patients, which was not right. She learned from this mistake that it is important to be honest with your patients and to tell them the correct situation. She is now balancing her emotions and her work properly. Her other mistake is multitasking, and she learned that it is essential to delegate work to maintain a proper balance and smooth running of your organization.

Sharing her achievements, Komal says that she has been awarded the title of "Best Cosmetologist in Gujarat”. She has also been the president and secretary of many NGOs, as she has also always focused on social work, which is an accomplishment for her.

She was also recognised by many awards on both personal and professional levels from municipal corporations, NGOs, councils, etc.

Komal’s role models are her parents in her personal life, as she learned to manage her personal and professional lives together from them. In her professional life, there are many doctors who are role models for her, as she learned a lot from them and they always supported and guided her in her journey.

To beat stress, Komal practices yoga and meditation.  She also likes to go on short vacations.

Komal’s success mantra is “Believe in yourself”. She also believes that it is important to take a step forward and start something.

Advising aspirants to her field, Komal says that the foremost thing to do is R&D about your clients, space, etc. It is important to stay calm for a thousand days and to stay positive at your workplace. Treat your patients honestly, and you can also take the help of social media platforms to build a strong and trusted base of patients.
