A professor and HOD of orthodontics, Dr. Kamlesh treats patients with irregular teeth and malocclusion. He has been working in this field for the last 14 years and patients from Udaipur and surrounding areas  come to him for treatment. He advises new aspirants to choose Pacific Dental College for BDS or MDS due to its large patient base.

Dr. Kamlesh Garg is a Professor and Head of the Department of Orthodontics at Pacific Dental College and Hospital in Udaipur.

He explains that patients who have irregular teeth are treated in this section. The patient may occasionally have issues with the distance between their teeth, their jaws, such as forward- and backward-positioned jaws, vertical jaws, etc. However, some patients have additional behaviours, such as protruding their tongue or sucking their thumb. Patients with malocclusion, or uneven tooth placement, are treated in the Orthodontics department with the goal of achieving the cosmetically best possible outcome. The department strives to provide patients the greatest smile possible by working according to their needs.

Dr. Kamlesh states that he was originally interested in going into medicine and didn't want to work in dentistry. When he started his BDS studies, he knew nothing about the field. However, a dentist in his area gave him inspiration and assured him that dentistry is a good field and that, as a dentist, he would be able to provide others with the nicest smiles. Afterwards, as he wanted to become an oral surgeon, he decided to major in Orthodontics after earning his degree in dentistry. He was inspired by his coworkers to pursue this career path, believing it would make others smile.

Dr. Kamlesh Garg was born in Shrimadhopur, a small town in Sikar. He completed his studies at Government Senior Secondary School in 1996. After that, he relocated to Jamdoli's Keshav Vidhyapeeth to finish his upper secondary studies.

He went to Kota to prepare for the UG test,  and was awarded a government seat at Government Dental College in Bangalore to pursue a BDS. After completing his five years of BDS, he passed the COMEDK test and placed second. Then, in 2007 he decided to enrol in SDM College of Dental Sciences' MDS programme in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics. After earning his MDS in 2010, he started working at Pacific Dental College and Hospital. He has been there for the last 14 years.

In terms of role models, Dr. Garg states that Sachin Tendulkar is his role model. He strives to put in the same amount of effort in his life since he admires him.

The statement "A person should be hard working, whether or not he is intelligent" is one that really encourages and inspires him. He thinks that if someone works hard in life, nothing is impossible for them to achieve.

Dr. Kamlesh explains that when he started working at Pacific Dental College, he faced several difficulties at first since dental care is time-consuming. People did not like him when he first started practising since they were unfamiliar with him. However, one of his greatest accomplishments to date is that, after four years of practice, he has established a good base of his patients, not just in Udaipur but also in the neighbouring areas.

He advises the incoming candidates that while there are many physicians and dentists, there aren't many excellent dentists, therefore if you know your stuff and practise effectively, you can succeed in this area. Given its large patient base, he advises prospective students to pursue BDS or MDS at Pacific Dental College. Pacific Dental College is the best option for anyone wishing to study patient care or practical work because it has the highest patient load in North India. Dr. Garg also exhorts the young people to take charge and make a positive contribution to the development of the nation.
