Dr. Kamal is a Physiotherapist and is running his own Care Center. He feels that there are many other fields in the medical line apart from MBBS, like BDS and Physiotherapy, which provide you with ample opportunity to make a successful career.

Dr. Kamal Kumar is a Physiotherapist and founder of Valiant Physiotherapy and Child Development Clinic in Jaipur.

Kamal hails from Jaipur. He did his schooling at Indian Public School. He did his bachelors from Mahatma Gandhi Medical College, Jaipur. After that, he went for six months of training in Bangalore. He has also done a masters in Neurology from the same institute.

Kamal shares that his profession provides an opportunity to change people’s lives. He once treated a one-and-a-half-year-old child suffering from Down’s Syndrome. In just six months, the child was able to sit. The happiness on the child’s parents’ faces is still the most satisfying feeling that Kamal can remember. He says that as a Physiotherapist he gets a chance to treat patients suffering from Paralysis, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, and Brain Strokes. He gets to give them a new chance in life. Kamal says that in his profession an attachment is established with patients.

Kamal says that during Covid, people were hesitant in stepping out of their homes even if in pain. He started giving online consultations and advised his patients to follow an active routine. He says that Physiotherapy has helped cure many post-Covid complications in patients.

Talking about his struggle, Kamal says that when he opted for this field, there was no college in Rajasthan offering this course. However, when this stream started in the state, he became part of the first batch. Kamal says that lack of awareness keeps many students away from Physiotherapy. He feels that there is ample scope in this field and every hospital has a separate wing for Physiotherapy in today’s time.

Kamal considers his brother, a Medical Officer in Ajmer, as his role model. His brother is also a doctor and seeing him wearing a white apron had inspired Kamal to join the same profession. He feels that the medical profession provides a way to serve society and to even have a career while helping others.

Kamal says that starting his own center is his biggest achievement. He has been running it for the past seven years and has treated many people suffering from critical conditions at his center.

Kamal feels that to join this profession one should have a true love for the profession. Earning money should be a secondary objective, the primary being helping people in their toughest times.

In his free time, Kamal likes to spend time with his family, especially his four-year-old daughter.
