A singer from a young age, Dr. Jyotsna used to perform at government gatherings and at her father's department's events. Despite being an ayurvedic physician, her true passion is singing. She has received several honours, one of which was from the Gujarat Sahitya Mahotsav.

Dr. Jyotsna Rajoria is a Ghazal and Sufi singer who can sing in different languages. In addition to practising Ayurveda, she holds an M.A. in Classical Music. She relocated to Mumbai after getting married.

Dr. Jyotsna’s birthplace is Amravati where she was brought up. She recalls that she had a happy childhood. She had always loved to sing, and when she was in  the sixth grade—thanks to her father's encouragement— she began performing live. Her father wanted her to become an Ayurvedic doctor once she finished the 12th grade, and she learned that one may also graduate in Music during her BMS. She pursued a B.A. and an M.A. in Classical Music.

She also used to sing in a group named Geet Govind in Amravati and soon also became a part of Sangam Orchestra. From there, she says that her path shifted to ghazal singing.

According to Dr. Jyotsna, she considers herself lucky to have performed well and received positive feedback from audiences throughout her life. She has also won awards and given a performance at the Gujarat Sahitya Mahotsav.

She says that renowned Marathi poet Suresh Bhatt encouraged her to travel to Mumbai after appreciating her singing. They moved to Nashik because, for her, travelling to Mumbai was too far away.

Dr. Jyotsna responds that Devi Lal Ji, Zarar Ahmed, and Dr. Ritu Johari have been her life's inspirations and mentors when asked about her role models. She adds that her spouse has always encouraged and supported her career in music.

Dr. Jyotsna expresses regret for not enrolling in formal singing training when she was younger. She also believes that she would be in a very different place now if she had chosen to pursue music instead of medicine.

She recommends new hopefuls to begin with basic knowledge and training since she thinks there are many opportunities in this profession. She also thinks it's critical to have a guru in this area.

She enjoys cooking, travelling, and home décor in her spare time. She also believes that in her life, music is similar to meditation.
