Dr. Jitendra Singh Chouhan serves as a professor and Head of the Computer Engineering Department at Aravali Institute of Technical Studies in Udaipur. He has a total of 16 years of experience, including 7 years at the College of Technology and Engineering (CTAE) and later as Head of Department (HOD) at Madhav University.
Dr. Jitendra has been recognised for his contributions and excellence in education. His notable achievements include the prestigious Mewar Scientist Award 2023 and several national and international certificates of appreciation from institutions like the Lions Club, the Dean of CTI, and the Computer Society of India (CSI). As a dedicated educator, he serves as an honorary trainer and a lifetime member of CSI Udaipur, where he has been involved for over 15 years, and the Institution of Engineers since 2007.
Dr. Jitendra’s education started at New Look Central School, Banswara, affiliated with the CBSE, where he laid the foundation for his future achievements. Pursuing higher education, he completed a B.Tech, M.Tech, and Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, specializing in areas such as microprocessor programming, digital logic design, machine learning, cryptography, and network security. His certifications in CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) and MCSA (Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate) further emphasize his technical proficiency.
Dr. Jitendra is guiding 19 M.Tech. students as a Ph.D. supervisor, publishing three patents, authoring two books, and editing five books on technical education. His passion for imparting knowledge has impacted both students and colleagues, building a legacy of academic excellence.
A native of Banswara, Dr. Jitendra’s life extends beyond academics. During his school years, he was an avid athlete, playing hockey at the state level and participating in basketball and volleyball. His athleticism earned him multiple certificates in athletics and selection for CBSE zonal tournaments, representing the Western Zone. Although he could not pursue sports professionally due to life circumstances, these experiences instilled resilience and discipline that he carried into his career.
Dr. Jitendra credits his grandfather, a retired Inspector of Engineering (IEN) from the Rajasthan State Cooperative Bank (RSCB). His grandfather’s encouragement and work ethic inspired Dr. Jitendra to explore and excel in the field of engineering.
He also acknowledges the challenges he faced after graduating with his B.Tech in 2007, a period marked by economic downturns and a shortage of job opportunities in IT. Despite rejections and struggles, including unsuccessful job searches in major IT hubs, Dr. Jitendra found his calling in teaching. This shift to academia ignited his passion for guiding and shaping future engineers, a path he chose to commit to fully.
Dr. Jitendra's career advice to aspirants underscores the necessity of deep knowledge and unwavering dedication to achieve success. He emphasizes that education imparts wisdom and theoretical understanding; experience is crucial for practical management and critical decision-making.
