The principal of an engineering college, Dr. Himanshu Arora, has a strong academic background in Computer Science Engineering. His commitment to academic excellence, student mentorship, and fostering a startup mindset has positioned Arya College as a premier institution in Rajasthan.

Dr. Himanshu Arora serves as the principal at Arya College of Engineering in Jaipur. He completed his B.Tech., followed by a GATE score of 97 percentile. Then he pursued an M.Tech. and Ph.D. in computer science engineering.

His primary goal is to assist students in realizing their dreams and fulfilling the aspirations of their parents.

He mentions that Arya College is among the top and leading engineering institutions in Rajasthan. Established in 2000, Arya College of Engineering & I.T. owes its foundation to the esteemed Er. T.K. Agarwal Ji, who served as the founder and chairman of the Arya Group of Colleges.

Dr. Himanshu recalls the initial challenges faced when setting up the college in Rajasthan. In those times, individuals typically traveled to the south for engineering education. However, the establishment of Arya College provided the people of Rajasthan with the opportunity to pursue engineering education locally.

Upon its inception, the college introduced the IT branch, which was considered highly advanced at the time. Specializing in artificial intelligence and robotics, Arya College now offers a diverse range of programmes, including engineering and an MBA. In the engineering domain, students can opt for branches such as artificial intelligence, IT, cybersecurity, and computer science with a focus on artificial intelligence.

Additionally, core branches like mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering are available. The inclusion of an MBA program further enhances the educational offerings, providing students with valuable and diverse opportunities for their academic pursuits, says Dr. Himanshu.

He mentions that he was born and brought up in Alwar. Later, he pursued his engineering degree from BITS Pilani. After completing his studies, he began his professional career. Reflecting on his childhood, he learned the valuable lesson that one can overcome many challenges by staying resilient. He recalls reading a quote that emphasized the significance of patience, time, and strength.

Dr. Himanshu also recognizes a prevalent problem these days, where students feel so discouraged by not getting admission into a top engineering college that they consider ending their lives. His message to those students is that there are many more engineering colleges they can attend to build their careers. He learned from his own childhood that, despite facing many difficulties, being persistent can help them reach their goals and be successful.

The Arya College goes beyond education by instilling moral values and emphasizing overall student development. Additionally, they have a robotics lab where they successfully created affordable bionic hands, under the guidance of Dr. Arvind Agarwal, showcasing significant engineering achievement. The college encourages a startup mindset among its students, says Dr. Himanshu.

When asked about his role model, he expresses that his computer teacher, Shreedhar sir,  serves as his inspiration, sparking his passion for teaching. He reflects on his teacher's well-structured and disciplined class and believes that if individuals could absorb even 10 percent of such qualities, it could propel the nation forward.

He shares that the motivating quote for him is from Dr. Arvind Agarwal, the President of Arya Group of Colleges, which goes, "Jahan Jaao, Chaa Jaao.", emphasizing on giving your hundred percent to your work so that people remember you by your work for times to come.

Reflecting on his challenges, he mentions being part of a middle-class family. They faced struggles to access study resources. However, his father always supported his children and ensured they received the best education by enrolling them in top schools. When he first moved away from home, his parents' values helped him overcome his challenges.

Dr. Himanshu further advises students to respect their parents and teachers in order to achieve anything in their life and believes that staying motivated is key to finding happiness in life.

In terms of achievements, Dr. Himanshu says that he has published over 40 research papers in national, international, and general publications. He also serves as a keynote speaker, audits many published books, and guides numerous students.

Explaining his decision to pursue a career in teaching, he recalls that during his engineering days, very few individuals considered entering the teaching profession. Among his engineering friends, he stands out as the sole individual in the teaching field. His inspiration to teach stemmed from his computer teacher, and he aspired to follow in his footsteps. Additionally, he finds immense satisfaction in witnessing parents' pride when their children achieve great success.

Dr. Himanshu believes that pursuing engineering is an excellent choice, allowing individuals to commence earning at a young age, typically around 22. At Arya College, they are committed to providing excellent placement opportunities with attractive packages for their engineering graduates. He says that around 60-70 companies come every year to offer jobs to students and it is then that the effective grooming provided by the college helps them in getting placed.

Giving a message to Arya Institute, Himanshu says that Dr. Arvind Agarwal, Dr. Puja Agarwal and all the faculty members are dedicatedly working for the betterment of every student. He advises students to positively avail all the facilities and resources being provided to them in order to reach the point where their parents desire them to reach.

Furthermore, Himanshu says that they term Arya college as ‘Arya Parivaar’ or ‘Arya Family’ and feels that an environment like that of Arya is tough to find anywhere else. It provides the opportunity of self development to both its faculty and students. He feels that the environment provided by the management is the reason that people have stayed with the institute for decades.

Distinguishing between the importance of education and experience, he emphasizes the significance of both education and experience, stating that they both are crucial. According to him, a well-educated individual will accumulate experience more quickly. He believes that obtaining a good education should be the initial step, followed by further expanding one's knowledge through practical experience.

Himanshu's message to the nation emphasizes a comparison between developed and developing nations, pointing out a notable distinction in the levels of discipline and love among the people. He encourages everyone to embrace greater discipline and wholeheartedly love our nation.
