A dedicated educationist with a strong foundation in corporate leadership, Dr. Dharmesh Jain has committed his career to shaping students into responsible and capable citizens. After transitioning from the corporate world to academia, he has consistently focused on guiding students toward both personal and professional growth. Grounded in the principles of Jain philosophy, his approach emphasizes compassion, non-violence, and selfless service, with a vision to offer affordable education that nurtures talent, fosters development, and empowers students to thrive.

Dr. Dharmesh Jain, currently serving as the Director of SGI-MBA for the past three years, has been dedicated to the welfare and upliftment of students, shaping them into responsible citizens of the country. In addition to his role as Director, he has also served as a counselor and mentor, offering guidance and support to students across various fields. His mission is not only to provide quality education but to nurture the holistic growth of each student under his mentorship.

Before his role at SGI-MBA, Dr. Dharmesh Jain served as the Head of the MBA Department at Samrat Ashok Technological Institute (SATI), Vidisha. Now, as the Director in the SAGE Group, he continues his mission of guiding students on their educational journeys. Recognizing the increasing popularity of MBA programs, he feels fortunate to be part of a field that helps students realize their dreams and shape their futures.

Dr. Jain holds a PhD from Dr. Hari Singh Gour Vishwavidyalaya Central University, Sagar, which laid the foundation for his long and fulfilling career in the education sector. Before fully committing to academia, he had a successful stint in the corporate world. He worked with Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) and later with Emami Limited, both major players in their respective industries. However, despite his professional success, Dr. Jain realized that his passion did not lie in the fast-paced corporate environment, especially given his aversion to frequent travel, which his roles required.

Recognizing that his true calling was in education, Dr. Jain made the significant decision to leave the corporate world and enter the field of education. This marked the beginning of his journey as an educationist, a path he has followed ever since.

Dr. Dharmesh Jain’s focus goes beyond academic achievement. He is passionate about preparing students for stress-free lives, fostering a sense of responsibility toward the country, and encouraging them to contribute positively to society. His guidance helps students secure jobs in industries, build industrial linkages, or, for those with an entrepreneurial spirit, pursue their dreams of starting their own businesses. Dr. Jain believes in empowering students to become masters of their own destiny, encouraging them not only to find employment but to create opportunities for themselves and others.

He explains that while mistakes in other professions may impact a few, the role of an educationist is far more profound—it shapes the future of entire generations. Teaching, according to Dr. Jain, is a noble profession where the ultimate goal is to benefit students and turn them into responsible citizens. Teachers carry the weight of responsibility not only for their students' academic success but also for their personal growth and contribution to the nation. Dr. Jain believes that every teacher must draw strength from within to not only uplift students but also play a pivotal role in the progress of the country.

Dr. Dharmesh Jain shares that his inspiration to pursue a career in education stemmed from a desire to make a lasting impact on students' lives. Since becoming an educationist, he feels truly fortunate to be in a profession centered around selfless service. Unlike many other professions that are driven by profit, education stands apart as a field where the focus is on nurturing students, helping them achieve success, and making their families proud.

Dr. Dharmesh Jain hails from Vidisha, a town about 54 kilometers away from Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh. It was in Vidisha that he spent his formative years, completing his schooling and graduation. His journey in higher education took him to IMS Indore, where he earned his MBA, followed by an MA in English Literature from Barkatullah University, Bhopal. He then pursued a PhD from Dr. Hari Singh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, Sagar University, a prestigious central university. Since completing his academic pursuits, Dr. Jain has dedicated himself to the field of education, finding deep fulfillment in shaping the future of young minds.

Growing up in Vidisha, Dr. Jain describes himself as an average student. He led a normal childhood, enjoying hobbies like singing and playing drums, and spending time with friends. While not academically extraordinary in his younger years, it was after completing his MBA that he gained clarity about his true purpose—serving society through education. From that point on, Dr. Jain focused on developing himself professionally to better contribute to the field of education, a commitment that has shaped his career.

Dr. Jain’s personal life is grounded in family. He is married, and his wife is a homemaker. They have two children: one pursuing an M.Tech in Civil Engineering, and the other working toward an MBA. Dr. Jain’s dedication to his students stems from a deep, personal connection—he sees in them the hopes and dreams he holds for his own children. This fatherly instinct drives him to ensure that his students are equipped with the tools to achieve their dreams. He prays for their success, just as he does for his own children, treating each student as if they were a part of his own family.

Though his professional life has kept him busy, Dr. Jain reflects on how he once enjoyed singing. However, the demands of life and career left little room to pursue his hobbies, and it has been 20 years since he last sang. His focus has always remained on helping others, particularly his students.

Dr. Dharmesh Jain reflects on the many role models who have shaped his life and career. He regards his father and mother as his greatest influences, though they are no longer with him. His father instilled in him values and teachings that he continues to follow to this day. His mother took Samadhi in accordance with the Jain tradition. Her shrine at Udayagiri Caves, Vidisha, serves as a place of reflection for Dr. Jain, where he honors her memory and the values she imparted.

Currently, Dr. Jain finds inspiration in Shri Sanjeev Agrawal, the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of the SAGE Group. Shri Agrawal’s vision of bringing happiness to society through his work deeply resonates with Dr. Jain. He admires Agrawal’s belief in unconditional love and support for the community, noting that his efforts have been truly remarkable in making a positive difference in the lives of others.

Dr. Jain says that as he has progressed in life, his interests have shifted more toward spiritualism. While he once enjoyed singing, he now finds deeper meaning in Jain philosophy. A particular poem, "Meri Bhavna," holds great significance for him. It reflects the core tenets of Jainism, emphasizing simplicity, truth, and the importance of helping others. A few lines from the poem, which resonate with him, are:

These verses, expressing the essence of living a meaningful life, encourage Dr. Jain to live with art and skill, focusing on humanity and the pursuit of salvation. They inspire him to continue his journey with a mindset of service, compassion, and a commitment to helping others wherever possible.

Dr. Dharmesh Jain firmly believes that the commercialization of education is detrimental to both society and the nation. He feels that education and healthcare should be provided free of charge by the government, ensuring that no one is deprived of these essential services. In today's fast-paced world, however, many people are more focused on earning money quickly, often without the necessary hard work or dedication. This has led to a mentality where individuals prefer to be job seekers rather than taking on the responsibility of becoming job providers.

In his view, students must learn to value education, not just as a stepping stone to success, but as a foundation for becoming good citizens and striving for independence. Dr. Jain likens teachers to libraries, filled with the knowledge and wisdom gained from countless books and biographies. By sharing this knowledge, teachers play a vital role in shaping their students' futures, helping them develop into responsible citizens who contribute positively to society.

Dr. Jain emphasizes that anyone aspiring to become a teacher should not be motivated by their salary only. Teaching, he says, is a noble profession—one that has been revered since ancient times, as evidenced in sacred texts like the Ramayana and the Mahabharata. In those times, teachers lived with few material comforts, often residing in jungles without modern facilities. Yet, they are still worshiped and respected for their role in shaping society. Dr. Jain believes this ancient respect for teachers remains relevant today, and that those in the profession should prioritize their duty to educate over any financial incentives.

Dr. Dharmesh Jain believes that to truly embrace the role of a teacher, one must let go of material concerns and focus wholeheartedly on the act of teaching. He acknowledges that this can be a challenge in today’s world, where rising costs and inflation often push people to prioritize financial stability. However, despite these obstacles, Dr. Jain remains committed to teaching, describing it as a noble profession that gives him the strength and satisfaction to serve both students and society. He views his work as a calling, one that is supported by his deep belief in contributing to the well-being of others.

Dr. Jain extends an open invitation to the younger generation to join SAGE University, where, under the dynamic leadership of Engineer Sanjeev Agarwal, the institution is devoted to serving society with unconditional love and deep support. He proudly highlights that in the past three years, SAGE has maintained a policy of no fee hikes, a clear indication that their goal is to serve students rather than profit from education. The university's commitment to affordable education aligns with Dr. Jain’s belief that education should be accessible to all, without financial barriers.

Dr. Jain assures prospective students that, at SAGE, they will be guided on a path that helps them develop their talents, confidence, and potential. The institution’s primary focus is on the well-being and satisfaction of its students. Dr. Jain emphasizes that the university aims to ensure that every student feels proud of their decision to join SAGE, offering a supportive environment where personal and academic growth are prioritized.

Dr. Dharmesh Jain emphasizes that at SAGE University, the primary focus is on providing students with a comprehensive blend of experience, skills, and knowledge. The university operates with a "student-first" approach, ensuring that every initiative is designed to benefit the students. He highlights that the institution is deeply committed to enhancing the Student Happiness Index, prioritizing the overall well-being, satisfaction, and success of each student.

Deeply rooted in Jain philosophy, Dr. Jain believes strongly in the principle of Ahimsa, or non-violence, which he interprets as the commitment to not harm any living being. He expresses his conviction that if this principle of Ahimsa were embraced worldwide, humanity could achieve 'Ram Rajya', a state of universal peace and harmony. For Dr. Jain, Ahimsa is not just a personal belief but a global message that can transform societies and create a more compassionate world.

Dr. Jain further explains a teaching from his Jain Guru, who often says, "Atikraman nahi, Pratikraman karo"—which means one should not overstep and cause harm but rather reflect and atone for any wrongs committed. The practice of ‘Pratikraman’, encourages individuals to look inward, acknowledge their mistakes, and seek forgiveness. Dr. Jain believes that this practice cultivates self-awareness and humility, which are essential for personal growth and for fostering peaceful relationships in society. He highlights that by practicing ‘Pratikraman’, people can prevent conflicts and live harmoniously, as it promotes the idea of living with compassion and understanding.

Dr. Dharmesh Jain shares a powerful ‘shloka’ from Jain philosophy: "Khamemi Savva Jive, Savve Jiva Khamantu Me, Mitti Me Savva Bhuyesu, Veram Majjham Na Kenai!" He explains that this shloka carries a profound message of forgiveness, compassion, and peace. It translates to: "I forgive all living beings, may all living beings forgive me. I am friendly towards all living beings, and I harbor no enmity or ill will toward anyone."

Dr. Jain believes that this shloka encapsulates the core values of Jainism, emphasizing the importance of living harmoniously with others. It encourages individuals to seek forgiveness from all forms of life, offer forgiveness in return, and foster a spirit of friendship and non-violence.

In conclusion, Dr. Dharmesh Jain offers his message to all: live and let others live. He stresses that forgiveness and non-violence are the keys to building a harmonious and peaceful world. His intention is to spread this message of compassion and understanding, and he humbly apologizes if his words fall short of expectations. His ultimate goal is to inspire others to adopt these values, fostering a world where kindness and empathy prevail over conflict and division.
