Besides being an Assistant Professor, Chandra Shekhar is also a PhD supervisor at Pacific University. He provides academic guidance and practical support to the students since the inception of the project to the submission of the thesis.

Dr. Chandra Shekhar Kapoor is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Science at Pacific University, alongside being a PhD Supervisor. Recently, eight students have successfully been awarded PhD and one student is currently pursuing PhD under his supervision. The college is well equipped with the resources provided to the PhD students for doing their thesis in a particular subject. Research on various topics in different aspects and in multiple fields are done in different ways by students with the help of the facilitated infrastructure. Further he states that the University is dedicated towards research and for which a central lab has also been established to provide a smooth research platform to students.

Chandra Shekhar grew up in Udaipur and did his schooling from Udaipur itself. Till 10th std he studied in Guru Nanak Public School and for 11th and 12th, he went to Guru Gobind Singh School. Then he did his graduation in Science from M.L.S.U. and from the first year of his course curriculum, he studied Environmental Science. After that he did M.Sc. in Environmental Science and completed his PhD in 2010 in the same subject.

Earlier Chandra Shekhar used to teach at Sukhadia University as a guest faculty and in the meantime, seeing an advertisement he applied to Pacific University and joined in 2013.

Chandra Shekhar considers his parents and his PhD guide Professor B.R. Bamniya as his role model.

According to Chandra Shekhar, both education and experience are important in life. They are the two sides of the same coin. Education helps you to perform well and life experience teaches you to use that education. Together they help us achieve success and hence they cannot be separated from each other.

Chandra Shekhar advises the students that before choosing any course or field, find out whether that course or field is useful for you or not and make a time-based target to achieve it. Don’t take it in a way that you have chosen something else and you are doing something else. Whatever you do, do it with dedication and while taking up a particular subject, be assured of its benefits in future.

If Chandra Shekhar had a chance to time travel, he would have gone to the time of his PhD to learn some new or different things by which he could take his thesis or research work to great heights today.

In his spare time, Chandra Shekhar likes to alot his time to research oriented work or by reading research articles available on the web. In reminder of his time he likes to play with his son. On weekends he goes on outings with his family for a movie or dine-out.

Chandra Shekhar shares learnings from his experience that you should keep moving ahead with your work. Work hard on it and never lose hope, sooner or later you will achieve success in life.
