Dr Drishty always had the pressure to live up to her family name, and she has made it to the list with her penchant for helping people.

Dr Drishty Chhabra, a doctor by profession comes from an entrepreneurial family background. However, Drishty had always wanted to be in a profession where she could help people. Her mother, who has been her inspiration, suggested her to become a doctor for it is the most honourable and respectable profession. After that, she and her sister both completed their MBBS from Pune.

Drishty had her schooling from several different schools. She did not study too hard in 10th and 12th standards but managed to score good marks somehow. Initially, she was an introvert since childhood, but slowly she started interacting with people around her.

Drishty shares that her mother had always been conscious of her skin and so she started her own spa and salon under the name NICC. After completing her MBBS, Drishty observed that people are not comfortable in their own skin with acne being one of the issues for the majority of people. Hence, she decided to launch her own skincare brand ‘Nuskay’ to make people realize the best version of themselves.

The evolution of Nuskay came up with the home remedies that elderly people used to practice for beautiful skin. She also started teaching face yoga and producing biodegradable and paraben-free products to suit most skin types. “Skin being the largest organ is also ignored the most '' asserts Drishty. Drishty and her sister travelled across many countries in the world learning about skincare to find remedies that would suit Indian culture and Indian people the most.

“MBBS is a hard nut to crack”, says Drishty asserting that one needs to have the required knowledge to be able to treat patients and exhibit certain empathy towards them to excel in this profession.

Discussing COVID, Drishty says that the period made us realize a lot of things like connecting to oneself, the importance of physical activity, the art of valuing people and the like. She talks about people being laid off from their jobs leading to increased stress issues. During the difficult times, Drishty realized that masks were something that everyone was wearing and decided to gift many needy women sewing machines to stitch masks and sell them to be able to feed their families. The Nuskay soaps too are made with the help of women working in jails, thereby increasing employment opportunities for them.

For Drishty, education and experience work in combination. She feels that people should implement the knowledge they possess to get the desired results. In the process, she shares that one needs to exert patience to be successful in the long run.

Drishty is truly inspired by her mother who has taught her to keep going and do good to people for it comes back bigger and better. She also keeps on learning from people who cross her path in day-to-day life.

Talking about leadership, Drishty shares that a good leader should not just envision growth for oneself but make sure to contribute to everyone’s growth in order to lead people.

If Drishty could go back in a time machine, she wouldn’t wish to delete anything since she feels she has learnt in every phase of her life and believes that whatever has happened has happened for good.

In her free time, Drishty likes to take up singing as therapy and listening to poetry. Coming from Lucknow, she appreciates the nawabi talents and relishes them. She has learnt pranic, meta and theta healing from her mother that keeps her going in low times. Drishty says that life keeps offering challenges and one needs to learn how to deal with them.

She ends up with a beautiful quote that goes like “Khudhi ko kar buland itna ki khuda tujhse khud puche bata teri raza kya hai.”
