Dr. Bijal Jain is a Homeopathic and Aesthetic Practitioner based in Vyara, Gujarat. She also runs a Lipolysis Center called ‘Arihant Advanced Cosmetic and Beauty Center.’ Besides, she runs a Charitable Trust under the name ‘Poshika Charitable Foundation’ that provides medical facilities to the needy.
Bijal was born and brought up in Tapi, Gujarat. She did her schooling from Bal Mandir. Further, despite her interest in arts, she chose Science in her 11th and 12th grades at the behest of her mother to fulfill her wish to see her become a doctor. After graduating in Homeopathy from a Homeopathic Medical College in Tapi, she did a course in Cosmetology from Mumbai.
After undergoing six months of training from a renowned plastic surgeon in Mumbai, Bijal opened a small cosmetology center in Vyara, Gujarat. She soon gained popularity as the first Aesthetic Practitioner in the entire Tapi district.
Talking about her role models, Bijal says she considers her husband as her role model for encouraging her to pursue her career and supporting her like a backbone. She also considers her mentor Ina Shah as her role model for teaching her everything in this field and for always being ahead in social work. Her mother is also her role model and she thinks that wherever she is today, it is only because of her mother.
Describing her struggles, Bijal says that she faced a lot of difficulties at the beginning of her career as there was no one in her family from the medical field before. To grow in this field, she worked under many surgeons for free to get good guidance in her journey. Besides, due to the non-availability of traveling facilities at that time, she used to trudge in buses for a long time and struggled a lot. She adds that in the rush to learn work during her challenging days, she worked in different branches like gynecology, pediatrics, homeopathy, cosmetology, etc.
Sharing her COVID experience, Bijal says that during the pandemic, when it cost a lot of money to get a HRCT Scan done, her trust did HRCT Scans at a nominal rate to provide more and more medical facilities to the people.
In her spare time, Bijal loves to dance, especially Bharatanatyam. She is also an avid reader. Besides, she likes to listen to music, meditate, travel, explore new places and things, and socialize with people.
Bijal advises the young generation not to look for shortcuts to success because nothing can be achieved without hard work. She adds that they should not try to establish themselves through social media platforms because not every person can get success through social media, which is important to understand. Further, she says that in the race to adopt the western culture, do not forget our rich culture and its roots and she suggests they move forward in their life by taking the good from both.
