Bhawna hails from Udaipur.
Recalling her childhood, Bhawna says that she was a naughty child and remembers how her mother used to drop her off at school every day. Her grandparents used to live in Sonipat, Haryana, but they shifted to Udaipur before her father was born. Ever since they had been living in Udaipur, Her grandfather's mysterious death left an impact on her father, so he decided to make one of his children a doctor. She completed her schooling at a government school. She was good at studying and took science as her major.
Bhawna says that she did her MBBS in Bangalore. She had to travel in the general class, and her father even sold his shop to pay her fee. She feels blessed to have been supported by her family at every stage of her life. The happiness in her father’s eyes when she became a doctor is an unforgettable moment for her.
She also got selected for the Army Medical Corps and was posted in Jodhpur, but she declined the offer as her in-laws and husband wanted her to stay with them. Meanwhile, she was doing her government job in a remote area, for which she had to travel every day and had to do her household duties as well. She was again transferred to a tribal area where there were wild animals and no water supply. Afterwards, she did her post-graduation from Ajmer and was again posted to RNT College, Udaipur.
When asked about her role models, Bhawna says that her parents are her role models. She is inspired by her father, who used to help her mother with household work and run his general store too. She has learned to never let your morale down and to never stop working hard.
She says she has worked extremely hard on her basics and tries to study something new every day.
Talking about her achievements, Bhawna says that coming from a middle-class family and becoming a doctor is itself an achievement for her. She tries to provide the best services to her patients and help them through their problems.
