Life tries to teach us a lot, and we should learn from it
Dr Bharti Sharma hails from Ajmer but due to her father’s transferable government job, they shifted to Bhilwara. She completed her schooling and graduation from Bhilwara and started taking tuition classes along with her studies. Her goal to teach the students was to create a bonding, maintain her commitment, and be sincere in her approach. Her zeal and interest to be a teacher germinated from there in her life.
Bharti did MSc. in chemistry and completed B.Ed and M.Ed. to become a qualified teaching professional. Although her family wanted her to clear PMT and become a doctor, she always aimed to be a teacher. After completing her M.Ed., she started getting job offers from schools and universities. She joined as a primary school teacher and got promoted consistently due to her excellent work skills. She also worked in the administration of the school and managed all school responsibilities. Later, she joined as a college lecturer, and in a span of two to three years, she was promoted as the college principal and worked at that post for almost eight years. Her career touched a milestone with her selection in UGC for PDFWM. She was perhaps the only one in entire Rajasthan to acquire this post. She applied and completed PhD. and did law studies too. All in all, her passion for teaching instilled in her a sense of continuous learning.
Then her life took a u-turn when she had to swap from centre to state government as a lecturer, though she kept on working on some centre government projects like, ‘Diksha’ and ‘Ayushman Bharat’. She believes that her experiences taught her to remain calm and composed in the highs and lows of life. She feels satisfied with her job and advises dedication for doing any job, study, or chores.
During the pandemic days, she observed that human life had almost stopped as nature underscored its superiority. She laments human brutality on nature, and pledges to be a much more aware citizen, and requests everyone for the same. She believes in conserving, protecting, and giving back to mother nature.
Dr Bharti’s mother and late husband are her inspirations for life. She is grateful to her mother for being a ‘shakti’ in her life, supporting her dreams, and sacrificing for her. Furthermore, she feels loved, complete, and encouraged to lead her life due to her husband’s wise words and the love he left behind when he suddenly died in 2015
She exclaims that she has lived a dream life full of smiles and aspires to bring smiles to the face of others.
