Dr. Banwari Lal Meena is an Executive Officer for the Pushkar Nagar Palika. In 2016, he obtained his qualification in Rajasthan Nagar Palika Administrative Services. He has a BDS degree as well.
Born and bred in the Rajasthani hamlet of Kolana in the Dausa district, Dr. Banwari Lal went to the neighbourhood schools in his village. He subsequently earned a BDS degree from Jaipur Medical College. However, his passion in the civil service led him to a government job.
Nearly every tehsil in southern Rajasthan has generated at least one applicant for the public service, says Dr. Banwari Lal. Additionally, he had the chance to network with several accomplished administrative officers, and after being inspired by them, he made the decision to specialise in administrative services.
According to Dr. Banwari Lal, he looks up to his older brother as an example. Having witnessed his brother's numerous struggles in life, he finds inspiration in his brother's path.
Talking about difficulties, Dr. Banwari Lal asserts that existence is impossible without them. He claims that having an objective to work towards it makes challenges easier to overcome. The excitement of your challenges, adventure, and accomplishment is increased by the entire process.
Aspiring civil servants are advised by Dr. Meena to put in a lot of effort and familiarise themselves with the syllabus and paper format. To pass the tests, one must carefully organise and manage their preparation.
Regarding his mistakes, Dr. Banwari Lal states that a person becomes distracted when they go from a small town to a large metropolis. He became sidetracked by the way of life of other city students when he travelled to Jaipur for his BDS. After realising his error, he somehow finished his degree course, and set out to achieve his goal and joined the Rajasthan Administrative Services.
Dr. Meena describes his COVID experience as quite challenging. During the pandemic, he was assigned to the Bandikui district. Taking this phase as a challenge, he used to work in the field all day. Viewing the disaster as an opportunity, he organised his schedule to maximise his chances of networking and raising awareness of COVID-19. People responded well to him, and as a result, the government was able to carry out its programmes with success.
