Dr. Ashish discharges his duties in several roles: as a professor, academician, and consultant. He specializes in periodontics and has been associated with Pacific Dental College for 5+ years. Working as an Implantologist and Perio-Plastic Surgeon has been his forte in this profession.

Dr. Ashish Bali is an Associate Professor in Pacific Dental College and Hospital, Udaipur. He is working as an academician, lecturer, and dentist in the Department of Periodontics.

In the role of an academician, Dr. Bali takes lectures and discussions of undergraduate students, along with providing experienced guidance to the PG students.

Talking about Periodontics, Dr. Ashish says that his subject deals with the supporting structure of the tooth, a thorough knowledge of which is quite essential for being a good dentist. The subject is introduced to the students in their third year and the application of the same is related to oral hygiene measures and Pyorrhea.  oral surgery procedures, implantology, and systemic health.

Adding more to his speciality, Dr. Ashish also has an expert hand in Aesthetic surgeries. He feels that there is much scope in the field of Periodontal plastic surgery which needs to be understood from the basics and then gradually proceeding to learn advanced concepts of implantology, peri-plastic surgeries and other augmentation procedures.

Dr. Bali also sheds light on the initiatives taken by the Govt. of India which include focus on diabetes and maternal health care. Dr. Ashish also reveals the proven relationship between diabetes and periodontal health.

Outside of the college, Dr. Ashish has his own private practice where he works as a consultant, visits different clinics, and oversees work related to his specialisation. He can be contacted for dental problems like bleeding gums.

Reflecting on his early days, Dr. Ashish shares that he hails from Jammu & Kashmir. He did most of his schooling from Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan. His early childhood schooling was from Manipur and later he completed his schooling in different KVs as his father was in government service and used to get transferred from one state to another.  He completed his BDS at Institute of Dental Sciences, University of Jammu followed by his PG from Himachal Dental College, Sundernagar which comes under the Himachal Pradesh University. After completing his education, he joined Pacific Dental College as an Assistant Professor in 2018 and spent four years as an academician and a clinician, after which he got promoted to Associate Professor in 2022.

Dr. Ashish says that life is full of challenges which may come to us in one form or another and feels that we have to live the way life comes to us. However, he considers himself lucky in this front and has fortunately not faced any major setbacks in life.

Talking about his achievements, Dr. Bali says that he has been a Rajya Puraskar Awardee Scout during his 12th grade.

When asked about his role models, Dr. Ashish Bali says he draws inspiration from his PG college. The first one is the director of the college and his PG guide, Dr. Vikas Jindal and the other one is Dr. Divye Malhotra, a maxillofacial surgeon practising in Hamirpur. Ashish says that he never fails to take inspiration from these two and feels that they are one of the finest surgeons in the field.

Dr. Ashish feels motivated by the song, ‘Titanium’, particularly the lyrics- “I'm bulletproof, nothing to lose, fire away, fire away,” which he listens to whenever he feels low.

In his message to the students, Dr. Bali advises them to be disciplined and hard-working, as without these qualities, it will be difficult to achieve their goals. He also urges them to have good company and stay motivated at all times.

Advising the youth, Dr. Ashish urges them to stay away from drugs and keep themselves involved in sport activities.
