A PG Scholar at a renowned ayurvedic college, Arti is a passionate proponent of ayurveda. Her journey from rural roots to academic success and her commitment to preserving the true essence of ayurveda make her an inspiring figure in the field.

Born in Jaipur, Dr. Arti Sharma is currently pursuing PG in the ‘Rachna Sharir Vibhag’ at the Madan Mohan Malviya Government Ayurvedic College & Hospital in Udaipur.

She traces her roots to Uttar Pradesh from where her family moved to Jaipur years ago, where her father established a business in a rural area.

Despite being born in Jaipur, she spent a significant portion of her formative years, around 12 years, in their village in UP. She mentions that she didn't encounter any major difficulties during that time. However, an incident prompted her father to relocate the family to Jaipur. Subsequently, she enrolled in a prestigious school in Jaipur, where she completed her education up to the 12th grade.

Following her time spent at the Allen Institute for NEET preparation in 2015, Arti successfully gained admission to the Ayurveda UG course at Shri Shirdi Sai Baba Ayurvedic College & Hospital in Jaipur in 2016. She later passed her MD entrance exam and is currently doing a PG course.

Dr. Arti shares that her father's dedicated service in the hospital has been a lifelong inspiration for her. She greatly admires him and has always aspired to follow in his footsteps by engaging in social service, considering him her ultimate role model.

She reflects on her academic journey, noting that she was an average student until the 8th grade, when a pivotal incident transformed her approach to learning. She recalls a moment before her 8th-grade board exam when she struggled to write an application, resulting in her being reprimanded by her principal. This experience motivated her to work diligently and improve her academic performance.

She has achieved several notable accomplishments. In the 8th grade, she received a merit award in Jaipur from the Police Commissioner, Dr. BL Soni. Additionally, she was selected for the Rajiv Gandhi Digital Yojna and was also honored with the Gargi Puraskar three times. During her BAMS studies, she not only excelled academically but also actively participated in cultural activities. Furthermore, she achieved the 8th rank in a Shloka Gayan Pratiyogita, says Dr. Arti.

Arti discusses her personal challenges, likening them to the struggles faced by many from rural areas, such as grappling with English and adapting from rural life to urban modernity. Additionally, a family incident disrupted her aspirations, leading her to abandon her original goal.

She expresses her belief that her transition to Ayurveda was fortuitous, and she has never regretted pursuing this path. She emphasizes the value of Ayurveda as a field that offers profound insights into life.

She strongly believes in the significance of promoting and raising awareness about ayurveda, emphasizing the importance of applying ayurvedic principles in everyday life.

Dr. Arti stresses the necessity of a thorough understanding of ayurveda and feels that the responsibility of preserving and promoting the true essence of ayurveda lies with the youth studying the discipline. She expresses concern that others may dilute ayurveda with modernization, which she believes is not in line with its authentic nature.

Her message to the youth is to step forward and advocate for the authentic practice of ayurveda.
