Dr Anurag Mehta is working as the Principal of Pacific Institute of Business Studies, Udaipur. In 2009, he completed his Phd in Advertising and soon after that he started teaching college students.
Anurag was born and raised in Udaipur in a middle-class family. He studied till primary level at St. Teresa School and then he went to Guru Nanak Public school to complete the remainder of his school education. He did his bachelors and masters from UCCMS, Udaipur. Then he worked as a Business Development Officer with City Master Management Services Pvt. Ltd. for about eight years. He also ran a readymade garments business parallelly. He says that doing a job and managing his garments business made him more resilient which enabled him to work beyond work hours.
Talking about his childhood, he says that his childhood was very pleasant. He used to play Cricket and Badminton with his friends and siblings. Besides, he shares that he was a shy kid and would not participate much in extracurricular activities at school. But when his school made it mandatory for every student to participate in extracurricular activities, for the first time he did Public Speaking at an event and everyone at the school applauded what he spoke and he was the winner at that event. It gave him confidence and he started doing public speaking more often. He would also participate in Chess and other competitions.
Anurag considers Lord Rama, Lord Krishna and Mahatma Gandhi as his role models. Besides, his grandfather always motivated him to excel in life.
Anurag’s success mantra is developing a positive attitude, skill and knowledge to be successful in life. But he says that one should maintain balance between all the aspects of life be it personal or professional life - as that is true success. Furthermore, he advises people to be humble, generous and compassionate toward others.
Anurag thinks that youth years are a very crucial period of one’s life. And if you remain focused and work hard during the youthful years then you will live a good life for the rest of your life.
