Passionate about music, Anil flourished as a soulful Ghazal singer as he never gave up on his dream to become one. He has performed in many national-level shows and established his name in the industry.

Dr. Anil Sharma is a Jaipur-based Ghazal singer and a Veterinarian. He has been associated with music for the last forty years. He has done many ghazal shows and is recognized as “Jagjeet Singh Ji Ki Awaaz”.

Talking about his struggles, Anil says that his father was not supportive enough of him pursuing a career in the field of music and wanted him to study and make a good career. He followed the orders of his father and became a veterinarian doctor. However, he believed that he had some connection with music and never left his zeal for music. He learned the art from his gurus and pursued a career in the music industry.

Anil was born in Haryana in an orthodox Brahmin family. Anil shares that being from a Haryanvi family, he had to work a lot on his tongue to speak and recite ghazals in Urdu. However, he worked hard and finally overcame this shortcoming. Along with his studies, he continued to learn singing and has performed in many youth festivals, on radio, TV, and more, says Anil. Then he got posted as a veterinarian doctor in Jaipur and started to drift away from music. However, he soon realized that he should again work to fulfill his dream and started to perform in ghazal shows.

When asked about his mistakes, Anil says that once he thought that he had learned significantly well and should perform professionally in Mumbai, and he ran away from his home to Mumbai. However, soon he realized his mistake and returned back home.

Describing his accomplishments, Anil says that achieving something is a never-ending process. Audiences asking for autographs and selfies after every show is the biggest accomplishment for him, Anil says. Furthermore, he says that you should never consider your accomplishments as permanent and keep on working to achieve something new every day.

Regarding his role models, Anil says that his guru Jagjeet Singh is the one for him. He had been listening to Jagjeet Singh and learned everything by listening to his music.

Anil says that apart from music he has many other talents and he loves to paint, sketch, and write in his free time. Also, he is interested in sports and cooking.

Advising the youth Anil says that you should never give up on the situation, try achieving your dream with perseverance and you’ll definitely succeed.
