Dr. Anand Gupta hails from Udaipur. He completed his schooling at St. Paul’s School, Udaipur. After his schooling he went on to pursue MBBS from RNT Medical College, Udaipur and later he also did post graduation in radiology. Dr. Anand was born in a family where education was put on priority. His grandfather was an assistant collector of Udaipur. His father was a renowned radiologist in Udaipur.
Dr. Anand says that taking inspiration from his father he also got inclined toward medicine. So after high school he opted for medicine. Dr. Anand believes in keeping himself updated with the latest research and innovation in medicine by reading research papers published across the medical journals.
Dr. Anand is of the opinion that education is really important in life. Education is the foundation on which you build up your experiences. He advises that one ought to complete his education first then gain experience.
To anyone who wants to make a career in medicine, Dr. Anand advises that this field is very competitive. You should keep yourself continually updated to thrive in this field. Besides, you should have good communication skills.
Even if he could go back in time and undo something, Dr. Anand would not change anything as he is content with wherever he is today. However, he would want to relive those moments that he spent with his friends in college. He still remembers that time.
Dr. Anand says that during this pandemic, through collaboration with government authorities and public private partnership, he helped reserve more than 1900 beds for covid patients. He is also working to facilitate vaccination for the people of Udaipur.
Dr. Anand takes inspiration and learns from day to day experiences.
Dr. Anand believes that leadership is about serving society by heart. A leader is someone who takes people along and listens to them. A leader should also impart his learnings and prepare his successor.
Apart from medicine, Dr. Anand also looks after varied businesses. He says that he lives in a joint family where everyone is into some sort of business. They all divide the responsibilities among themselves and work accordingly.
Dr. Anand’s life mantra is giving preference and setting priorities. He says that if you have your priorities and preferences sorted out then life becomes much more simpler.
