A Senior Assistant Professor, Dr. Amit Verma is a renowned journalist and academician. After working in several media organisations, he realised his passion for research and moved into academics. Dr. Verma has worked at Essel Shyam Communications and holds a PhD in Community Radios Rajasthan. He finds satisfaction in social work and community service, volunteering, and sharing knowledge with others. He also advises journalism students to practice writing, learn technical skills, and explore different fields in journalism.

Dr. Amit Verma is a Senior Assistant Professor in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at Manipal University in Jaipur. He is also the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Communication and Management, which focuses on communication and management issues. He has worked with a number of academic institutions and media companies, including Chandigarh University, St. Wilfred College, and Biyani Girls College.

He was born in Rajasthan's Jhunjhunu area, and his family relocated to Jaipur shortly afterward, where he was raised. He finished his education and graduated from Jaipur itself. He changed his major from commerce to mass communication and eventually earned a PhD. Later, he began working for media and academic groups.

Dr. Amit describes his experience, stating that after completing his postgraduate studies in commerce, he decided that this was not what he wanted to accomplish and pursued journalism instead. After spending three to four years in the television sector, he understood he was born to be a researcher. Then he entered the research and academic domains.

Dr. Verma previously worked with Essel Shyam Communications. He received his Mass Communication degree from the MakhanLal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication. Following his internship, he was put in the broadcasting profession in Singapore, but after some time, he understood that this was not the career for him, so he resigned. Then he relocated to Delhi and spent four months sitting inactive. He recognised he wanted to pursue research and academics after gaining internal experience and having time to evaluate oneself. Later, he enrolled at a media college in Jaipur. He also has a PhD from Community Radios Rajasthan.

Dr. Verma discusses his accomplishments, stating that he has discovered his philanthropic side and finds fulfilment in conducting social work and community service, such as volunteering for any social cause and sharing skills and information with others. He finds great joy in making a positive effect on his family, friends, and pupils.

Dr. Amit Verma, speaking about his blunders, argues that mistakes are an unavoidable part of life. Previously, he worried about taking on tasks and failing at them. He eventually learnt that failure allows us to correct our mistakes.

When asked about his role models, Dr. Amit replies that his parents are his greatest inspirations and mentors in life. He says he studies the Bhagavad Gita and attempts to apply its lessons. He believes it has solutions to all problems.

In his leisure time, Dr. Verma enjoys travelling, particularly to historical and religious sites. He enjoys branching out into new areas of inquiry, such as community media.

According to the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna is both your tutor and buddy. The phrase goes: "जिसने मन को जीत लिया उसने पहले से ही परमात्मा को प्राप्त कर लिया है।" It really stimulates him and serves as his learning motto.

Dr. Amit's life philosophy is to keep your intentions pure and work toward your goals without worrying about the outcome. He also advises calming your thoughts, avoiding negativity, and not comparing yourself to others.

Dr. Verma urges young people to assess their own strengths and limitations. He proposes that you work based on your hobbies and passions.

He urges journalism students to be aware of their own abilities and interests. 'Counsel yourself first, because you are the counsellor of your soul,' he suggests. He advises staying up to date on current events, practicing writing, and mastering new technical skills such as photo editing and creative software. These skills can be learned through digital platforms like YouTube, as technical expertise is essential in today's world across all industries.

Furthermore, Dr. Amit believes it is essential for journalists to explore various fields and follow their passions. If you're a good speaker, consider FM or TV; if you have creative ideas, pursue branding or advertising; if you enjoy networking and engaging with people, opt for Public Relations (PR); and if you possess leadership skills, teach communication or tourism.
