Divyayani used to be a Software Engineer, but as soon as she realized she had an artistic skill inside her, she decided to pursue it, and now she is successfully building a career as a professional artist.

Divyayani Shrivastava is an Artist. She has been running her own studio under the name ‘Art View Studio: Art & Painting Classes’ in Bhopal for the last four years. Besides, she also runs an NGO for art awareness.

Divyayani was born in Bhopal but brought up in different cities because of her father’s transferable job. She is a Software Engineer by qualification. After completing her studies, she worked in the banking sector for some time. Alongside this, she also started learning art professionally. Gradually, she started getting appreciation in the field of art and people started buying her paintings. Further, at someone’s suggestion, she took a break from her job and tried her hand at the field of art.

While achieving success in this field, Divyayani thought of giving a platform to budding artists in Bhopal. With this view, she established her own art studio by associating with local artists and achieved success in it. Moving ahead, she also started organizing events, exhibitions, and workshops, which got a good response.

Recalling her childhood, Divyayani says, drawing and painting had always been her hobby, but she had no intention of making a career out of it. After her studies, she was also inclined towards sports.

Talking about her role models, Divyayani says in every phase of her life, she considered different people as her role models such as her parents, her teachers, her seniors, and her friends who supported her at different times and helped her move forward in life.

Regarding her achievements, the respect that she receives as an artist and the independence this career has given her, according to Divyayani, are her biggest accomplishments.

Explaining her mistakes, Divyayani says that choosing the wrong career and completing her studies in the Science stream was her biggest mistake. Apart from this, she says that after becoming an entrepreneur, she neglected devoting much time to her relationships which drew her away from her family, which she subsequently realized was a mistake.

Divyayani likes to spend her free time with her friends and traveling.

Advising budding artists, Divyayani says that whatever you are interested in, you can make a career in that field. Today’s era offers a sizable market where you can establish yourself in your specialized field of arts. Even if there isn’t a market, things have gotten so simple that you can create your own market for your art, she claims.
