Divyansh, the founder of an AI-based startup for medical data analysis, is a self-taught coder and tech enthusiast. He advises not to stress too much about work, to value life, and to have self-confidence.

Divyansh Srivastava is the founder of mHeal, an AI-based startup that assists doctors in making decisions by analyzing past medical data. He is currently based in Jaipur.

Divyansh hails from a small town by the name of Balrampur in the U.P. He is a coding enthusiast. He likes to develop apps, websites, webapps, etc.

After completing his schooling, he decided not to pursue any further formal education. He then moved to Jaipur and self-taught himself programming languages and artificial intelligence. He then worked with different companies on their projects as a coder. He even worked at Amazon as a senior software developer. After working for three years at Amazon, he realized that he wanted to do something of his own.

While working at Amazon, Divyansh also started working on his idea. Initially, his idea was to help people in the health sector by creating a list of all the doctors. But when he further explored, he realized that there were already apps that were already doing what he wanted to do. He then changed his idea and started working on designing an app that could tell, with the help of AI, what diseases one has just by looking at their X-ray and CT-Scan images, etc. He worked on his idea solely for one and a half years before meeting his co-founder, Sourbah. Eventually, they launched their app and got a good response. They collaborated with the Rajasthan government and started helping the hospitals and doctors. Their startup was also recognized as one of the highest-potential startups by Microsoft India.

Talking about his childhood, Divyansh says that he had a middle-class upbringing. As a kid, he was not that good at studying but was interested in computer games. He first got his hands on a computer when he was in 5th grade. He got enamoured by the fact that, sitting at his desk with the help of his computer, he could explore the whole world. And it became a turning point in his life. He started learning coding, about technologies, and other technological stuff online.

Divyansh highlights the pitfalls in our education system. He says that our education system doesn’t impart the necessary skills; instead, it just teaches irrelevant stuff that serves no purpose whatsoever.

Divyansh would recharge his mobile with his own pocket money so that he could access the internet and learn online.

During COVID, Divyansh realized that life can end at any moment. He advises that you don’t stress out much about your work. Take a break, and then resume afresh. On a professional front, it did not impact him much, as he could interact with his team virtually.

Divyansh shares that one of the biggest mistakes he committed was underestimating himself. He sold his apps at prices less than what he could have gotten. Divyansh brings up the fact that coders in India are really underpaid compared to their American counterparts.

Divyansh considers Swami Vivekananda his biggest inspiration and role model. His favorite quote is, “Arise, awaken, and stop not till your goal is reached!”

Talking about leadership, Divyansh says that the whole notion of leadership doesn’t appeal to him. He feels that it’s about dictating to others. He does not like to call himself a leader. He likes to walk along with others.

Besides coding, Divyansh likes to cook food and feed his friends. He feels good when people like the food he prepares. Besides, recently he has also taken to gymming.

If Divyansh could go back in time, he would want to go back to the era of Nicola Tesla and meet him. He says that Nicola Tesla could never be acknowledged and credited enough for his inventions. Besides, he would also want to relive his childhood when he was a carefree kid.

To conclude, Divyansh advises everyone that, however hard it gets, never worry about it and be harsh on yourself. We, as humans, have the potential to get out of the toughest of situations, says Divyansh.
