Coming from a family of beauticians and artists, Divya quit pursuing CA course to launch herself in the makeup industry and open her own studio after years of practice.

Divya Sen is a makeup artist who runs her own studio with her husband, who is a hair stylist. Divya used to work at Modern Unisex Salon & Academy before her marriage. She has been in this profession for almost a decade.

Divya completed her 12th, followed by a B.Com. and an M.Com. She was pursuing her CA when a sudden realization dawned on her that she should follow her family profession and make a career in it. Divya was motivated by her parents and her husband to join the beauty industry.

Recalling her childhood memories, Divya recollects growing up, having street food with her parents, and playing carrom with them. She also misses her school's annual day functions.

Talking about her achievements, Divya mentions that she won a bronze medal in the OMC Level Ivara Awards as a 17-year-old. However, influenced by her family, Divya chose the beauty industry and completed certifications and courses in order to advance in it.

Discussing her challenges, Divya shares that when she and her husband established their own setup, they lacked the confidence to attract any clients. However, down the line, both of them worked hard and made a name for themselves in the beauty industry, which they have been running for the last five years.

In her message to people willing to join the beauty industry, Divya suggests they should choose one field of specialization rather than learning everything at once. She says that it is important to identify one’s interests and develop your mindset accordingly. Divya adds that they should keep practicing and gain experience in their field of choice.

Her hobbies include watching Netflix. In her free time, Divya looks after her child and his studies.
