Disha Goswami is a violinist from Jaipur.
Recalling her childhood, Disha says she started learning music at a very early age. She shares that her father is also a guitarist, so pursuing music was natural for her. She began with the keyboard and then moved on to the guitar. Later, she developed an interest in playing the violin in her school days as she already had some knowledge about the cords and basics. She feels her school teacher recognised her talent and guided her to pursue the violin. She was also a member of the orchestra at her school.
Disha mentions her achievements and says that her accomplishments include two international projects and sponsorship from Red Bull. During the lockdown, she realised that she liked teaching and wanted to share her knowledge.
Disha talks about her mistakes and how she wasn't sure what she wanted to do with her music career at first. She kept switching from western to classical music, but now she has decided to continue with western music.
In her spare time, she likes to travel and explore new places. She is also fond of nature photography.
When asked about her role models, Disha says that her father is her biggest mentor and guide.
When stressed, Disha prefers to sleep, as it would remove her from that situation. Other than that, she listens to music to relax herself.
Disha’s life mantra is that instead of leaving everything to destiny, we should do our part by putting our efforts into it.
Disha’s message to everyone is to take some time out for their passion, as it is going to add colour to their lives.
