Dinesh Singh Chohan hails from the city of lakes, Udaipur. After completing his diploma in tourism in New Zealand he worked there for a short stint. Later he came back to Udaipur and joined the hospitality sector here.

Dinesh Singh Chohan was born and brought up in Udaipur. He was educated at St. Paul’s School, Udaipur. After completing high school, he earned an honors degree in economics. He has also done a diploma in tourism in New Zealand.

At the beginning of his professional career, Dinesh worked with Hutch India. Later he worked with various coffee shops, Pizza Hut and KPO, and BPO Industry. As he was dissatisfied, he started exploring other fields. As most of his relatives were working in the hospitality sector, he also thought of giving it a chance. Therefore, he went on to pursue a diploma in tourism in New Zealand.

After completing his diploma, he worked at a hotel in Wellington, the capital city of New Zealand. He was doing well for himself there. But he had to come back to India to look after his aging parents.

When he came back to India it was a setback for him. In India, it was a new work culture altogether and it took him some time to adapt to it. He joined Hotel Ramada in Udaipur as a sales manager. Later he worked for a hotel in Ranthambore. But he was still not happy with what he was doing. One of his friends who were in the tourism sector referred him to an opening at a Candian hotel chain named Justa Hotels and Resorts. After completing his training he joined the hotel. Currently, he is looking after the sales vertical of the hotel in Rajasthan.

Talking about challenges in his life, Dinesh says that life is a journey that is full of ups and downs. You should never give up and face every situation head-on. Remaining balanced and poised in every situation will help you survive the tough times.

Dinesh considers his mother his role model. He says that his mother was a teacher. She was a very hardworking woman. After doing her job, she would do her household chores and look after everyone in the family nicely.

Dinesh believes that education and experience both are equally important. Both are the wheels of a bicycle. Education creates many opportunities in the corporate sector.

To anyone who wants to work in the hospitality sector, Dinesh advises that you should work on your appearance. The way you talk and dress up is really important in this sector. Besides, having good communication skills and sound knowledge of your products is a must to succeed in this industry.

If he could go back in time and choose another profession for him, Dinesh would want to be a model.

Reflecting on his childhood, Dinesh says that he was a very mischievous kid. It still brings a grin to his face whenever he reflects on his childhood.

Besides his work, Dinesh likes to read books and do indoor activities. He also likes to drive his jeep and explore the places he has never been to in Udaipur and around.
