Dr Dinesh is an educated professional with a wealth of experience gained over the course of his 35-year career. He now aims to contribute to society to the best of his capacity.

Dr. Dinesh Chandra Ojha was a Senior Librarian at the Central Arid Zone Research Institute for 35 years before retiring in 2008. He is from Jodhpur, Rajasthan.

Dinesh says he belonged to a poor family and ended up losing his father quite soon. This instance made him take up many responsibilities on his shoulders, including those of his siblings. At that point, his mother became his strength and walked with him through thick and thin.

Talking about his childhood, Dinesh shares that he was an average student and spent most of his time playing. He studied in a Hindi-medium school and often faced a challenge in understanding the English language. But Dinesh didn’t lose heart. He worked upon his communication skills to meet the needs of the time. He became more serious in life after losing his father to death.

During his school days, Dinesh enjoyed Weightlifting, Bodybuilding, and Wrestling. He also participated in national level competitions and inter-university tournaments. Dinesh was given an award by the Rajasthan Bodybuilding Association. He has also been a secretary of the Bodybuilding Association.

Talking about his professional journey and achievements, Dinesh says he has authored more than 30 books and has made his mark in around a hundred national and international journals. He has also been the Secretary of the All India Association of Agriculture Libraries and Documentaries of India. Dinesh also served as the President of the Rajasthan Library Association and Vice-President of the Indian Library Association.

Talking about his challenges, Dinesh shares that upon joining the Central Arid Zone Research Institute, he was surrounded by a team of well-informed scientists, owing to which he found it difficult to cope. Gradually, Dinesh tried to study their moods and stand up to their requirements. In five years' time, he could have them all in his good faith and was even called upon by directors for important advice.

Dinesh considers Dr. CP Sharma as his role model and admires him for his achievements at quite a young age. Dinesh also wrote a book with him, which cultivated in him a habit of writing, for which he is grateful.

Dinesh’s success mantra lies in deciding the goal first and working hard towards it. He substantiates it by sharing his graduation days, wherein he wanted to participate in a wrestling competition and worked hard for it for a year. He quotes another chapter from his life's journey when he started his professional journey at a lower position and worked hard for 11 years to climb up the ladder to attain the highest position.

The quote that inspires him the most is the one from the Bhagavad Gita, which says, "Do your duty without thinking about results." By God's grace, Dinesh has worked hard throughout his life and achieved all his desired goals.

Dinesh feels that the younger generation is quite impatient and wants things quickly in life. He adds that the youth often misuse technology these days. He advises them to utilize technology to their benefit to scale new heights in their career.

After his retirement, Dinesh likes to spend time in temples worshiping different Gods. He also aims to serve society.
