Dinesh is a dedicated lecturer who aims to do better every day in his field. He believes that hard work and the right direction are required to achieve the goals.

Dinesh Nagda is a Professor of Electrical Engineering at the SS College of Polytechnic in Udaipur.

Dinesh was born in Udaipur and completed his schooling in the city. For a diploma in electrical engineering, he went to Vidhya Bhawan Polytechnic College, Udaipur. After completing the three-year diploma, he worked as a technical assistant at the Pacific Institute of Engineering in Udaipur while studying B.Tech. simultaneously. He worked there for four whole years before switching to Pacific Polytechnic College as a lecturer. At the Pacific Polytechnic College, he worked for a period from 2015 to 2018. Subsequently, he got a call from the S.S. College of Polytechnic and got hired as a lecturer in 2018. Since then, he has been working there.

Talking about his experiences, Dinesh says that working at the Pacific Polytechnic College gave him good knowledge and experience in various technical aspects to perform well in his current job. His experiences with staff, management, and student engagement are better at S.S. Polytechnic College. Here, his duties include managing lab activities, practicals, teaching a few subjects, technical equipment maintenance, exam form management, etc. Moreover, he privately runs tuition classes for students in grades 9 and 10 in mathematics.

According to Dinesh, the syllabus in the engineering textbooks should be revised and updated according to changing technologies and on-field practical needs. At his institute, there are multiple courses, programmes, and workshops for the all-around development of the students.

Dinesh believes that teaching a technical subject requires the understanding of every type of student. In his seven years of teaching experience, he has come across many students with a range of mental capacities and has learned from each of them. He believes in changing the ways of teaching with the changing times and candidates. In his view, experience and education run parallel, and one must acquire skill development alongside education for an outstanding profile.

Sharing his COVID experiences, Dinesh says that the COVID-19 experience was full of technological adventures for him. Teaching and attending meetings through Zoom were possible options for working non-stop. He is happy to be interconnected in such unprecedented times and to get the salary on time, unlike many others. He utilised his free time either with his family, in repairing household electrical faults and equipment, or in self-study.

Dinesh advises utilising time and energy constructively, exploring interests, understanding capacity, and choosing a career accordingly.
