I did not have any fancy education. Whatever I have learnt in life, I have learnt through experience only.

Dinesh Mehta hails from the city of lakes, Udaipur. He lives here with his family. He was born, brought up and schooled in Udaipur itself. He completed his college education from MLSU, Udaipur. He also did an MBA through correspondence.
After completing his education Dinesh started working as a typist at his brother-in-law’s enterprise. He would work there so diligently that often he would forget to have his meals. He says that whilst working there he saw an advertisement in the newspaper for the job of a data operator at a company based in Udaipur itself. He was very confident of his skill-set and applied for the job. He says that the owner of the company interviewed him and selected him out of 25 candidates.
When he was working as a data operator he would also deal in shares listed on the stock market. One of his friends introduced him to a company that was working in the field of stock market. He joined that company as he wasn’t withdrawing much from his previous job. Thus he forayed into the stock market full-time.
He started at a very low profile. But due to his hard work and dedication he is currently working as a branch manager at HDFC Securities, Udaipur.
When asked about challenges in his life Dinesh says that, when he started working at HDFC Bank the work culture there was very different from his previous company. He says that people at HDFC Bank were target-driven and very aggressive in their work-style. It took him a while to adapt to the new environment. But with his determination he overcame it.
Talking about education Dinesh says that he hasn’t had any fancy education. Whatever he has learnt in his life, he has learnt through experience only.
If he could go back in time and undo something, Dinesh wishes that had he stayed back with the first company that he had joined he would have reached at some senior position within that company or he should have started early-on in the stock market so that he could have reached a higher level in the same field.
Reminiscing about his childhood memories, Dinesh says that he had spent his childhood in a community where everyone would be treated as a family member. During his childhood he would climb on trees and swim in ponds with his friends.
Dinesh doesn’t have anyone as such to look up to as motivation. But he considers his brother-in-law as his motivation since he learned to work hard working at his enterprise.
During his free time Dinesh likes to go on long drives with his wife. After his work, he spends his evenings with his friends over tea and snacks at Fateh Sagar Lake.
Dinesh is optimistic that after this COVID-19 pandemic the markets will boom and the economy will be back on track.
