Live and let live.
Dr. Dimple Jangda is the Founder of Prana Healthcare Center and Prana Academy, based in Mumbai. She says it is an Ayurvedic medicine clinic, with a vision to redefine medical care at home quickly, easily, and affordably.
Dimple was born in Bangalore, raised in Chennai, and has been living in Mumbai since 2010. She belongs to a well-educated family. She says that because of her inclination towards finance, economics, and the socio-economic structure of a country, she pursued her career in investment banking and did her MBA in it. She has also worked in the advertising sector and content-creating industry as a TV Reporter and TV Producer for Live television. She adds that while moving forward in her corporate life, she came across Ayurveda and that’s when she set out to do something in the healthcare sector and became a health coach.
Recalling her childhood, Dimple says that since childhood, she was curious about finding solutions to problems rather than fixing them. Besides, she had health issues from a young age.
Talking about her role models, Dimple says her grandfather has been a great influence in her life because he is still working at the age of eighty-five and encourages her to always keep moving. She also considers her uncle as her role model for influencing her to build a strong career.
Regarding her achievements, Dimple says that she was honored with the ‘India’s Most Trusted Healthcare Award’, and ‘Times Brand Icon Award’ by the Indian Achiever’s Club. She was also awarded several titles by other institutions. In addition, she claims that she has treated around three thousand patients from fifty-four countries and introduced Ayurveda to eighty-five thousand workshop participants and six thousand students from about fifty-nine countries, which is her biggest achievement so far.
Sharing her COVID experience, Dimple says she had conducted about three-hundred workshops during the lockdown across the country and abroad.
In her spare time, Dimple enjoys watching sitcoms, swimming, sunbathing and spending time close to nature.
Advising the younger generation, Dimple says that whatever career you may choose for yourself, choose it according to your passion because if you are not passionate about what you are doing, it makes no sense. Further, she says that if any work is done only from the point of view of earning money only, then you will lose your interest in it and you’ll end up hopping from one job to the other.
