Dilip Singh Rathore is the Principal Architect at Modern N Majestic Architects in Udaipur.
As an architect, Dilip presently works in Jalore, Pali, Chittorgarh, Rajsamand, Udaipur, and Sri Ganganagar. He is mostly interested and focused on interior design, architecture, and landscaping. Additionally, he works with an NGO that provides suggestions for the betterment of play schools and government run creches. They inspect these establishments and offer recommendations for their improvement to the authorities.
Dilip says he always had a fascination for creating original items. He liked to construct stone structures and craft toys out of leftover materials like toothpaste covers and bottle tops. After completing his education at Rajsamand, he chose to major in Maths and Science. He also sat in the AIEEE test, selecting Architecture as his subject. After passing the test, he was admitted to a Jaipur college. From then on, he began his career as an architect and learned about the field.
Dilip indulged in a variety of creative pursuits in this sector, such as painting, woodwork, welding, and art and craft. After completing his internship in Ahmedabad, he spent two years working at Samir Sengupta & Associates. He received a great deal of knowledge and expertise from his boss, as well as from the boss's son and daughter-in-law. Later, he decided to launch his own architectural start-up in 2017.
Dilip says his lifestyle has been altered by the architecture field, and he now leads a highly controlled and systematic existence. He has also seen a significant shift in his way of thinking. He wants to provide the stray animals roaming around the streets a place to stay. He was inspired to construct ‘Nandigram’, a house for bulls. In addition, he hopes to establish a community and teach farmers modern agricultural methods. He also hopes to introduce organic gardening for a healthy lifestyle. I
His family inspires Dilip a lot. He derives a great deal of inspiration from his father's life narrative and journey. Because his father was from an agricultural background, he had to work hard to succeed in life. For the benefit of the family, his father endured great effort. The way his maternal grandpa, who is rooted in his heritage, and despite being old, is still working, is something else he admires. He also finds great inspiration and motivation in the saying, "Do everything on your own; don't expect anything from others."
Recounting his struggles, Dilip says when he moved to Ahmedabad, he first had trouble adjusting to life in a new place. He ran into issues when he made the decision to launch his own company. He realized that establishing a new company involves many tasks, including hiring employees, finding an office, and completing paperwork.
Dilip counsels aspiring professionals in his field that emotions and sentiments are crucial. Those who enjoy creativity, design, and hands-on labor should pursue a career in architecture. According to him, you may express your ideas to others and unleash your creativity using other people's money.
He suggests to the young people that no work is small or big, if you do it wholeheartedly then it can be very rewarding. Whatever kind of work you do, do it in the way you like. If you feel something is lacking in your work then you can improve it by adding your creativity to it. He exhorts the youth to make responsible and appropriate use of social media.
