Despite taking so many stumbling blocks, Dileep stood firm and faced all the troubles with courage and determination. He is doing well in his Tours & Travels business with an approach to give the hospitality industry a different stand.

Dileep Singh Sankhla has been running his firm ‘Galaxy Tours’ in the Tours & Travels industry for the last six years. The firm supports the travelers who want to travel abroad especially Thailand, Dubai and Singapore by facilitating them with language, currency and other issues thereby providing them with a complete package.

Dileep originally belongs to Kurabad village of Udaipur District. He did his schooling partially from St. Paul's School in Udaipur as his father was working in Udaipur Cement and then he was transferred to JK Cement so Dileep completed his remaining education from Nimbahera in Chittorgarh district. Then he did Mechanical Engineering and thereafter worked for a long time in different fields like mining, marble industry, marketing and mobile industry.

There has been a lot of struggle in his life because in the beginning, he had a mining business and due to lack of proper mining equipment and illiterate manpower, there used to happen many accidents. Owing to which he had to close that business and he entered into the mobile industry by starting a Nokia Care Center which he ran for seven years and built a good network with people that benefited him later in life and thus created an identity in the market. Due to android phones and innovations in technology, Nokia went out of market and hence Dileep’s business also went down and suffered a huge loss. Still he didn’t lose hope.

Amidst all, Dileep once travelled and felt that the travel business has a lot of potential and many people feel bad for not getting facilitated in the travel industry. Therefore, after considering many fields, he decided to enter into the business of Tours & Travels. Starting in the travel industry was not an easy task for him but the connections and networks he built in his earlier businesses, proved out to be helpful for this one.

Due to the Covid pandemic, Dileep’s tourism business had fallen down and again he went into great losses. But he has not given up and is trying to take his business forward.

According to Dileep, education gives you a basic platform to make you confident but success is achieved from experience. He believes that education has a limited scope uptill giving a basic knowledge but your experience, confidence and will power takes you forward towards success.

Dileep’s role model is his father because he has struggled a lot in life and seeing him, Dileep himself has gone so far. Yuvraj Singh is also his role model for fighting cancer and winning the battle of life. Dileep believes that no matter what circumstances come to life, one must be able to prove himself.

Dileep has been associated with RSS since childhood and because of that he has developed leadership qualities in him. He feels that leadership is not innate, it comes slowly with time. So he assumes that he has developed leadership skills because of RSS, teamwork and better understanding with people.

Dileep’s advice to newcomers in the hospitality business is that you should have a heartfelt desire to serve your client. Besides, you must have a  helping nature, be talkative and have knowledge about your field in order to go a long way in this business.

Dileep believes that the tourism and travel industry has a very bright future ahead because Covid has taught people to spend on themselves. Therefore, he assumes that people would like to travel in the coming time which needs a proper tourism agency and that is why this industry will shine in the future.

Apart from travelling, Dileep’s hobbies also include listening to music, meeting up with friends and fulfilling his responsibilities like guiding his children well.

Dileep advises youngsters that watching social media for entertainment purposes is okay but do not go crazy behind it. He says, grab the positive content of social media while maintaining yourself in society, but at the same time don’t leave your ethical values, respect your seniors, follow their advice and move forward with a combination of both.

If given a chance, Dileep wants to get back to the time of 1995 as he used to live in Delhi at that time and lived the best time of his life that he wishes to relive again.
