A HR practitioner, Dibanshu believes that an HR professional should be a good listener and observer too. He has been working in the field of HRM for the last twenty years.

Dibanshu Sanyaal is an HR practitioner and co-founder of Vaayvy Disha Consulting Pvt. Ltd. in New Delhi.

Dibanshu was born in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, and did his schooling there itself. He completed his B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering at Bhopal. He also did a Master's Degree in SCADA Integration.

Recalling his childhood, Dibanshu says that he was very naughty in his childhood. He used to play chess and cricket. He also used to buck school frequently and sometimes hide his  report card from his parents. He has been social but not showy since childhood.

Dibanshu thinks that AI can never be a substitute for HR practitioners, but due to advanced technologies, the maturity level has increased. With every organisation, he faced different challenges, but he always accepted them and then redesigned them.

Sharing about his achievements, Dibanshu says that people knowing him as an HR practitioner is one of his biggest accomplishments. Currently, his trainees are working at big companies like ADP as HR professionals, which is an achievement for him.

Accepting his mistakes, Dibanshu says that he started his business with less knowledge, which was his mistake. He learned how to manage cash flow and calculate profit and loss from his younger brother.

Dibanshu’s role model is his father, as he learned a lot from him. He learned to be loyal and committed to his work from his father. He also admires Amarjeet Singh, who taught him the transparency of information.

The quote that motivates Dibanshu is ‘Failure refines, not defines life.’ He also believes that it is important to be simple in life.

Advising aspirants to his field, Dibanshu says that human resources is all about managing people, as skills cannot be taught. One should understand the requirements of the people and work accordingly. HR practices vary from organisation to organisation. He says it is important to be a good listener as well as an observer to become a good HR professional.

While comparing education and experience, Dibanshu says that both are correlated with each other. Education always defines you, and it gives us the strength to avail ourselves of experience.

Dibanshu advises the youth to stay away from showing off. It is important to be loyal to your work. He advises to first satisfy yourself with your output and then satisfy others. Try to share what you learn with someone.
