Dr. Dhruvi Patel is a dentist and feels that one should always take some time out for their own self to rejuvenate their minds and focus on fitness.

Dr. Dhruvi Patel is from Surat and is a dentist. She did her schooling from VT Choksi English Medium School. After 12th, she started studying dentistry in 2016 and graduated  in 2021.

Dhruvi says that during the internship phase, she used to be occupied for more than twelve hours a day. She would do her college for six hours and right after that she would travel to the clinic she was interning at and work for the next six to seven hours. Dhruvi says that it was a tough phase of her life as she was being paid only 3000 rupees but she also adds that, for her, it was more of a learning process and less for the money.

Dhruvi says that dentists were more prone to the COVID threat as their work involves being in proximity to the oral cavity. She used to wear PPE kits all day long and says that it was tough doing things wearing that. Her entire family contracted COVID and her mother was having severe conditions. Fortunately, all of them recovered from it.

Dhruvi feels that education decides how much readily one can learn from experience and a perfect combination of both creates expertise in life.

Dhruvi shares that her role models are her parents who have always taught her that work is worship. Also, she is very much inspired by her grandfather, Ram Patel, who taught her the trick to strike a perfect work-life balance in life.

Dhruvi thinks that leadership is ‘being in action’ and not ‘being in a position’. She feels that a good leader would always grab opportunities coming their way and will act accordingly.

Dhruvi says that she is proud of herself for inventing a biochemical device and getting a patent for it as well. She has created a multipurpose tool which is like a retractor and will eliminate the need of an assistant and will help the doctors to perform their work on their own in the field of dentistry.

Dhruvi feels that there is a lot of scope in the  field of dentistry. She says that one should have patience, good communication and perfect command over their hand to succeed in this field. She also adds that earning money is necessary but earning blessings is very important.

Dhruvi says that she takes inspiration from the quote of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam which says that, ‘History has proven that those who dare to imagine the impossible are the ones who break all human limitations.’

If given a Time Machine, she would like to relive her college days and enjoy life with her friends.

In her free time, she likes to read and stay connected to painting, sculpturing and related artistic stuff. She also learns about futuristic techniques related to her field.
