Dheyur dropped out of engineering when he identified the artist within him. He took the plunge and pursued his passion for drawing and tattooing.

Dheyur Bhalodiya is the founder of Pixel Tattoos. He has been working as a tattoo artist for the last five years.

Dheyur hails from Rajkot and completed his schooling in Hyderabad. He was an intelligent kid and always topped his class. Owing to a lack of guidance, Dheyur was not sure regarding his career path. He enrolled himself in engineering at Lovely Professional University, Punjab. But, when he realised his passion for art, he dropped out of his college and came into the profession of tattooing.

Describing his struggles, Dheyur says when he revealed he wanted to become a tattoo artist, his decision was not well-supported by his family. He goes on to mention that since he was good at studies, everyone expected him to get a good job after completing his engineering. But Dheyur had already made up his mind, and he utlized his last year of engineering to learn tattooing.

Sharing his pandemic experience, Dheyur says he had to take extra precaution while dealing with his clients during the COVID days. He spent a good time with his family and focused on learning more about tattoos.

Drawing a comparison between education and experience, Dheyur says he feels while education provides you with basic knowledge, it is experience that helps you learn and grow in life.

Dheyur advises the youth to focus on learning and strive to step out of their comfort zone. He suggests aspiring artists to keep on learning as there is no end to learning in the field of art. Dheyur says tattoo artists should focus on building a strong portfolio.

Dheyur likes to draw, paint, travel in his free time.
