Former Banker and Rotarian Dharmendra Kumar Goyal took voluntary retirement (VRS) after a distinguished career spanning nearly 35 years in the banking sector and now dedicates his time, experience, and skills as the Treasurer of Rotary Club Jaipur Bapu Nagar.

As Treasurer of RC Jaipur Bapu Nagar, Goyal believes that the trust placed in him by fellow Rotarians is a great responsibility. He strives to ensure that the funds entrusted to the club are utilized wisely and effectively. Under the guidance of Club President Rtn Meeta Mathur, he has worked diligently to manage resources efficiently for fellowship activities, social welfare projects, and various club initiatives. He believes that the team has been able to deliver satisfactory results through collective efforts and responsible financial management.

Sharing further, social worker Dharmendra Goyal highlights several impactful initiatives undertaken under the visionary leadership of President Meeta Mathur. One such project is the ‘Gajanan Janani Project’, which focuses on providing care and support to underprivileged pregnant women. Similarly, the club conducts numerous initiatives throughout the year for senior citizens, children, environmental conservation, tree plantation, and various community welfare activities, all aimed at creating a positive impact on society.

In 2023, when Banking Professional Dharmendra Kumar Goyal took voluntary retirement (VRS) from his professional career, he was inspired to begin a new phase of life focused not on earning, but on giving back to society through his skills, experience, and service. While exploring opportunities to contribute meaningfully, he found Rotary to be the perfect platform to fulfill this purpose.

Goyal recalls discussing this aspiration with his brother-in-law, Radheshyam Gupta, who was already a member of Rotary Club Jaipur Bapu Nagar. Gupta encouraged and guided him positively, helping him take the next step with confidence and embrace a life dedicated to social service through Rotary.

Born and raised in Bharatpur, banking veteran Dharmendra Kumar Goyal completed his schooling and early education in his hometown. He pursued higher education alongside his professional commitments, earning a B.Sc. Degree before beginning his banking career. After securing a position in the banking sector, he continued his academic path by completing an M.A. Degree along with CAIIB ( Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers) Part I and Part II certifications.

With a distinguished career spanning nearly 35 years, former Bank of Baroda Manager Dharmendra Kumar Goyal began his professional career with Jaipur Nagar Anchalik Gramin Bank. He later joined Vijaya Bank and continued serving there with dedication and integrity. Following the merger of Vijaya Bank with Bank of Baroda in 2019, he continued his service with Bank of Baroda until taking voluntary retirement (VRS), marking the end of a successful and fulfilling banking career.

Talking about his role models and inspirations, Goyal shares that he draws inspiration from several personalities across diverse fields, including music, politics, and sports. However, his greatest inspirations come from leaders whose contributions have left a lasting impact on the nation.

Among them, Goyal is deeply influenced by Subhas Chandra Bose and his remarkable contribution to India's struggle for independence. He also greatly admires Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel for his efforts in unifying the nation after independence, a legacy that continues to inspire generations of Indians.

Speaking about contemporary leaders, he also finds inspiration in Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He particularly admires his dedication, discipline, and commitment to public service. Goyal believes that despite his age, the Prime Minister's tireless work ethic, long working hours, and continuous efforts toward nation-building offer valuable lessons in perseverance and leadership.

He also holds immense respect for the contributions of Late President Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam. Dr. Kalam's vision, humility, scientific achievements, and commitment to empowering the youth remain a source of inspiration for him.

Reflecting on the lessons he learned throughout his professional work, Former Bank Manager Dharmendra shares that one of the most valuable insights he got from his banking career is the importance of teamwork. According to him, life and work become much easier, more productive, and more enjoyable when people work together toward a common goal, regardless of the profession they belong to.

Elaborating further, he explains that when one is added to one, it does not merely become two—it becomes eleven. For him, this simple analogy represents the power of unity and collective effort. Goyal explains that whenever a problem arises, one should first focus on finding a solution. If a solution exists, there is no reason to worry excessively. On the other hand, if a solution is not immediately visible, worrying still serves no purpose. Instead, one should continue making sincere efforts, remain patient, and trust that circumstances will gradually improve with time.
