Sharing her experience, Devyanis says that in the recent scenario most of the people understand the difference between architecture and interior designing . According to her, a degree in interior designing is important but practical knowledge is also very important in this field. It is a time consuming job and includes lots of responsibilities. In order to choose interior designing as a career it is necessary to shoulder the responsibilities of designing the dreams of the people and to put hard efforts. It is not a gender-biased industry and this field requires continuous study as well as practical experience.
Talking about her mistakes, Devyani says that she became too friendly with her clients and that directly affected her work. She also used to hesitate to ask for money from clients that pushed the timelines ahead and it took more time in completing the project. These mistakes have taught her a lot of things and have made her more professional now.
Devyani says she has two Life Mantras that are interlinked with each other. First, always learn from your mistakes and the second one must have a positive attitude in life.
Devyani believes that to reduce the stress level in life it is important to speak out and to talk with people. In her opinion, daily exercise and listening to music is also helpful in reducing stress and makes you feel happy.
